Depends on how you want to kill stuff. Personally I made a xbow and got tired of the short range so I redid him as bow and love playing him :)

I went for Xbow primarily because I was making a self-levelling trades character and wanted to save credits (bow costs more). Managed to put together a collection of armor, clothes, and jewelry for buffs. Turns out, she's fun to play!

LVL 95
-spec: Xbow [335], Arcane, Healing
-trn: cook, fletch, alchy, lockpik, item enchant, melee D, missile D

I like the damage of Xbow, frequently being able to 1-hit some tough critters is pretty cool! Being as I played a melee for so long, up-close fighting is normal to me. I even use short crossbows frequently as regular hunting weapons. I do have some nice 335's I use for dungeon camping. One thing though, the animation for Xbow is a real killer; healing, potion use, etc, is SLOW!

I like my bow. No real reason, just personal preference. I'd like to have a bow in r/l, too.
You can't scare me, I teach 4-year olds!!
