Ok. Someone, before I blow a blood vessal...

If anyone knows Big Jam, PLEASE, take him aside for 5 hours (this is obviously how long it's going to take to explain things to him) and tell him how to use, and the proper Etiquette of standing in a line and asking if other have their requests in.

I've tried to explain this to him, but he is either, quite slow, ignoring me, or being a smart ass.

Please, for my own sanity, stop him..... please.

It would be better for Big Jam's patron to teach him how to use the bots. Banning someone instantly does not help them learn anthing.

I didn't catch his patron either time I tried to talk to him. Mainly because, as I said, I tried to talk to him.

Nyla, this thread is not nearly as embarrasing as it could have been. Believe me. I am being quite nice on this one, concidering the circumstances.

yah, but I"m still embarassed for him Pee-Wee......right or wrong, I just dislike when people are being discussed openly like this. I've been on the receiving end of public scolding/thrashing/name-calling and don't like it when someone's humiliation is bared before all. What can I say......... I'm a lil wussy.

When someone's actions are in public display, for example, in a buff bot line, a public discussion has already been started. Pee-Wee is doing the right thing. By trying to talk with him, either via /tells or white chat, this "discussion" was tried in a private manner. Apparantly that direction of attack didn't work, so it is appropriate to try another way. Reference the Indiana Jones movie when he pulled out his pistol and shot the guy with the scimitar. Sometimes a different tactic works more effectively than one you have already been using. (The previously cited example in no way indicates Pee-Wee is supposed to materialize a pistol in-game and shoot Big Jam.)

When other options have been tried, sometimes a public post on our clan boards are the best way to take care of inappropriate behavior by a clan member.

Oh, and vote cake.

I still don't agree with you entirely Oof. If Big Jam is not a board reader then what good did the original post do ? The thread could have just as easily have been started with "Would Big Jam's patron please contact me ASAP" whereby a private discussion could have ensued.

It is not that I believe that ppl should get away with cutting in line or misbehaving at mansion, my objection is the manner in which it's addressed.

I would hope that if someone has a problem with me then they would /tell me privately or PM me or speak to my patron in private than to have it broadcast to everyone on public boards.

Usually when an infraction has occured there will follow a thread by the HC that addresses it in general to the guild.... the singling out is taken care of privately.

Ok, that would work too.

I often don't think too much about subtlety and all that. That's why I'm often the dead one in the middle of a bunch of critters.

I will now bow out of this particular discussion, as I think I may have side-tracked its original purpose, and that was for Big Jam to correct his behavior (sorry, Pee-Wee, for taking the thread on a detour).
