oof i'll have to read your explanation later, just got off a 12hr shift. its way too long to read now.
i read somewhere up there that 2 people were inserted below pod, that sucks, i thought all his char. were staying at the bottom.
how can none producing characters pass up more xp than thier vassles? bottlenecking of our xp seems more likely.
also a couple things pod said didnt sit well with me. the big one was when he asked how many 100+ characterscan say they hunted in the horizontal chain, its optional, i interpreted you saying that cause you do, it should be a consideration in the failures. lol as far as i know no one else has more than one failing character listed.
Edit: i just read all the posts, not good! i find it a realsame people being inserted under the group of 10
i am ranting but looking at this situation, i should be able to put my trade mule at the bottom of the chain, and let you guys level him. ill be putting in enough xp with Da-won for both characters, plus i occasionally use the marketplace fellow. so im good?
to me the first thing i see when i look at our stats site is the failures.i do look at the xp passed up from 3 characters below and above me, but the rst of the chain is a pass or fail.
I WILL read oof post later, a couple of the things i read in replies to DL, brought this out of me. if ive said something wrong ill retract and/or apologize later today when ive read every reply here.
Edit: i just read all the posts, not good!
im really not comfortable with people being inserted under the group of 10. an exception should be made to god's wizzard, in letting him pass robin by 1 lvl. come on we're making exceptions for pod.
you're explanation about xp being pass up and how the fellow bot is being used has kinda turned me off using the bot. im sorry, well not really sorry but disappointed.
this posting has basically told me i could put my trade mule at the bottom of the chain, and never play him at all. but because my main makes more than enough xp i could use the fellow bot to add a bit of xp to the bottom and ill be ok.
pod i really want you to know my thoughts on this situation are not personel at all. those characters are so far down from me, im assuming im not effected. i wouldn't want to swear a character under those 10 myself.
i used to think that xp chains were for leveling characters, must of been wrong.
im not bashing our chain or any lowers, im always willing to help anyone who asks, either with xp or body recoveries. i have joined another BM's fellow on a few occasions, im going to rethink that.
meanwhile ive lost over an hour thinking about this situation. time to go IG.

Da-won: If you know of a way to swear a level 82 character above a bunch of characters who are all higher level than him, please report it as a bug to
http://bugs.zone.com
Also, if you would like to put your trade mule under Borg as a horizontal chain pusher, and raise your loyalty a whole lot, and get leveled in the horizontal chain, I'm sure there's not a problem with that at all. You don't even have to worry about making quota on him in that spot, like I do in mine.
I will hold off on any future responses until after you go to the trouble of reading Oof's post. I think you'll find that I'm not getting quite the free ride you might think.

Da-Won, I'll go back and read your post in detail a little later (and, no, I'm not copying what you said about my horrendously long post
). I just want to make sure I answer your points clearly and don't leave anything out.
Without doing anything else though, there is no way to swear anyone to a lower leveled person. We could take a new chain insert and swear that new person almost anywhere in the chain, but there is no way to hook the chain back under him if he is too little still. If we don't hook the chain back under the new person, then they aren't really in the chain yet; no chain vassal, no rank mule.
Where we swear new insertions is at the only place they will fit. Period.
If they are lower leveled than Borg (hasn't happened yet, but it will at some point), then they go under Borg.
If they are higher than Borg, but lower than Podunkmer's top guy, they go between Borg and Podunkmer. As soon as they pass Podunkmer's little guy, while following the same promotion rules as everyone else in the FC, they will be promoted past that whole section of folks.
If they join the chain at a higher level than Podunkmer's little one, the new person is inserted above that entire bottom section.
Not only is there nothing unfair about the way new insertions are placed, there is also no way within the mechanics of the game to do it any other way.
I'll answer your other concerns a little later. I'm supposed to go meet a vassal right now.

thnx Pod i did read all of oof's post. my comments after the edit are from after reading the post, still wasnt convinced. i wont be needing your bug link either.
i think you have a great set up, i just dont think it should be at the bottom of the chain. its going to affect people around you for a long time, until finally you break them all up. what then play them all?
anyhow only 2 characters left to get into the green now!!!!! good job

The positioning of Podunkmer's characters at the bottom of the chain don't affect anyone. You can view Podunkmer's lowest leveled character as the bottom peg in that section of the chain. If someone is high enough to swear in above the lowest leveled character, then they swear in at the higher level. As a side benefit of that, they also get some level 90s and 100s underneath them, something they would normally NEVER be able to get.
If someone joins the chain and they are too little to swear above that section, they swear in below, in EXACTLY the same place they would have sworn if that section wasn't in the chain at all (which would probably be right above Borg). As soon as the new characters levels enough to promote past Podunkmer's little one, they will promote past ten or more characters instead of one or more characters. They do NOT have to pass Robin Fume Hood by three levels (top person in that section, but higher leveled than some of the other characters); all they have to do is promote past the lowest leveled character.
A player who is playing a single character should have no problem outleveling two guys who are playing ten characters between them, especially if the single character can get some help leveling from a friend.
That group of characters does not impact anyone in a negative way. What it does do is shoehorn some higher leveled characters beneath people in a way they would ordinarily never be able to fit. The end results will be more XP going in to the bottom of the chain.
As soon as God's Wizzard hits 91, all he has to do is post for promotion and he will be moved up ten positions in the chain. If Podunkmer's folks weren't in the chain, God's Wizzard would already be sworn directrly under Tenchi Muyo who is level 95. Without that group of characters that seems to be giving you some heartburn, it would be a much longer time before God's Wizzard would have additional characters passing XP up to him.
