Changing from bow to war. Looking for any war scrolls

I started at 10/10/100/10/100/100, so a battle mage was always possible

Whoa. I've always been tempted to make that kind of a move, good luck to you on that.

Thanks - been think of doing this for about 3 to 4 months. With the recent rise of creature missle d and lowering of their magic d, the overkill of the bow is gone. You get tired of a tusker guard evading your 415 buffed bow skill 3-4 times in a row.

Hehe, I've thought about doing that with Oof too. I've gone so far as having two bow untrain gems in a pack but just haven't brought myself to do it. ;)

Well I have seen all the evades and am pretty disgusted with them. I am actually looking forward to this. I do pretty well an a debuff mage. Have spent many hours in Honeycomb as a debuff mage. The damage from assailers is very rare with a magic staff wielded.

I saw some very high levels (180+) on ac stats with just trained war. I will spec it only if I run into problems. Otherwise I will be a Tank/Og.

I got my site name changed to my toon name -- Aero. Drylox is dead :)

I would imagine you can do well with trained war everywhere except for VoD. Out there, I would think more is better :) Plus, I remember reading that a magic skill of 400 gives about a 50% land rate against most VoD critters. Borg's spec'd war buffs to 391, and he doesn't yet land half the time.

Well my life buffed to 400, 413 with magic staff, so I would think that if war was specialized, it would be as high.

That is bad news hearing that trained war is not good for VoD, but I wonder if casting a yield first would make the difference.

Thanks for checkin Phade. Phade, being an Og mage, do you do well at VoD with trained war and yields?

I've been playing with the idea of spec'ing creature on Borg when he gets the skill credits, just so that he can yield and/or debuff the critters in VoD. I figured if I can land a yield on them and lower their resistance 40 points, that would make up for life not being spec'd, plus make war more effective.

I would be curious also to hear what people think about creature magic and VoD.

Gonna bring this subject over to the public area. I have some questions on that too.
