I know a level 5 asking me for "some rare items" really makes me want to help. I think if he/she asks me, I'll give them a hyssop leaf from that came from the June patch of 2000, but I'll tell him not to try to auction it on the Vn boards because it's very rare and people will start fighting over who gets to buy it.
Thanks for the heads-up to us all.

So, he wants rare items? Rare does not equal good. If I had one, i'd like to offer him a reedshark hide leather girth with a great major like assess person or assess creature and missile defense of 240 and race gharundim required to activate. Also rare, a spear with 300 wield req and major sword mastery. I mean, come on... I have tons of rare items... almost every item i pick up is rare. I have another word for alot of the rare items i pick up. Salvage. You'd have to be a bum hole to go around saying stuff like.

Not Dorzin. He is in our chain and only has a chain vassal.

well....you did the right thing by saying this all here... in my personl experience.. 85% of the, for lack of a better term, n00bs don't read the boards...
but when I have rl time to get back in game I'll make sure to keep an eye out for the poor pathetic soul who wants my help to get uber items, cause we all know my track record there.. isnt

I'm thinking about not thinking which when you think about it really makes the whole thing kind of thoughtless.

Well, in my opinion, none of these are true noobs. Think about it.
Any time you start a new game, espec RPG, what do you do? Man, I run around like mad trying to figure things out. As for armor and weapons, you don't KNOW what are "good", you just keep picking up what is better than what you have on. (I still have some dreadfull screen shots of KyleBaby wearing some of the cheesiest armor around).
I'm always suspicious of low lev people in the sub or marketplace. How do they know to get there?
The only time I "Give things up" to noobs is when I actually SEE them sitting there taking out a herd of Pochlings/Mites/mosswarts. If I see someone doing that, I know they are actually PLAYING the game, so I don't have any reservation about helping them.

Very very sorry about this. Dorzin was in the Marketplace in the horizontal chain fellow, and I had AutoFellow running. Apparently, AutoFellow will say yes to ANYTHING, so this little runt swore to Dorzin and AutoFellow happily confirmed him. Not sure if he broke or ended up getting booted, but I had a few unpleasant tells in my backlog, both from him and from people that he had harrassed.
When I saw the logs, I personally reported him on the abuse channel for an inappropriate name, and I'm working on a solution to keep that from happening again. As as stopgap measure, and just out of the principle of the thing, his account is squelched.
Again, I'm very sorry. I didn't realize that AutoFellow would do that. I won't let it happen again.

Hmm, thanks Podunkmer, I think Phade or someone had told me Autofellow would say yes to anything that accepted a Yes/No answer. Iwas trying to think of what bad that might could cause. Now I guess I know. You were pretty quick catching it though, because by the time I checked ACStats you had already dropped him.
