Jena,

live and learn :)

It's not a matter of power, but trying to ensure the integrity of the clan. We do have two chains that have thousands of man hours in maintenance and infrastructure. We have the longest standing chains on the server because we do the things the way we do.

I don't think the problem is having your own chain as much as having a non-sanctioned chain. (One that is not supported by the clan)

We have had some people in the past wanting to advertise their own chains. It creates a mess if it's something we have no input in. It also creates internal competition between chains. And trust me, that is a horrid thing. We had two chains that competed and it almost destroyed both.

:)

hmmm...let me go back in my mind even farther than that...

Naraiko created a chain and the clan sanctined it...it died a screaming horrible death and the clan decided agaisnt doing another chain again.

Eventually Qi Chang Caine (i think that was how it was spelled) merged with us and also his clans chain... that one actually started working correctley for a while... but two other chains were eventually formed.. one was specifically for re-rolls but there were still three... the two big ones eventually got to competeign and eventually we lost sever people over the matter... one chain eded up competely dissolveign at that poitn and the other nearly had the same fate untill we tookin in Zeral's allegiance and with their additions the food chain was born.. Dezayn I belvie actually created the casual chain and through some miracle the twwo have actually gotten along...

all of the above are part of the reason that in any desicion, the clan comes first... if you are in the chains and you don't like a ruleing by the high council becuase it impedes with how you like to chain... I dont care... yes you are members of the clan.. but there are soem who joined the clan specifically to get xp... and if any problems result from our open doors.. those problems are removed...

I hope your chain does well Jena... but if you make it public, you will need to ensure that anyone you let in abides by the clan code of conduct and ANY ruleing by our high council... becuase you woulndt want to see me when I pull out my dictionary
I'm thinking about not thinking which when you think about it really makes the whole thing kind of thoughtless.

Again Sorry,

And if anyone reading this . This post was made 3 days ago and so was the meeting I had with my followers. Ill make sure to not call it a chain :)
or post any messages to meet them in the future on here.

I understand the work that goes into puting this stuff together. I also have been on a high consoul in previous monarchy and understand the work that goes on to set up web site , & sceduale and lead quests. I didnt realize exactly how this clan is run since ive never seen or a clan meeting.

I have seen posts to join clan chain. But I cant do that because I like my patron too much. hehe :) And id rather help others then try and just get xp for my char to level.

Oh btw,

8 days before I posted this meeting, I posted on Casual Chain board questions. One because I wanted to know how it worked in the clan. Well I guess I found out the wrong way.

No one reply to date regarding my questions. Yet If I post something wanting to meet with people, it gets a ton of replys.

Hey Jena,

I just wanted to say that you are ok.. :)

We live an we learn and we hear about a bunch of stuff after the fact that makes us wish we just kept playing hopscotch and wishing for simpler times.. :)

LD has evolved with chains as Phred has shown. And just like yourself, we have learned what works and what doesn't.

Really, the only response here should have been.. "Hey Jena, go for that chain Lady... But just FYI.. be careful about bringing confusion to the monarchy where other chains are in place and managed within the LD COC.

There is no doubt that you got that down, so I believe nothing else needs to be said.

If the thread continues branching out saying more stuff that you already know, I will be glad to lock it myself..

Stay sweet.. :)

Tyn

Jena, I very seldom browse the Casual Chain Forum, but will try to remember to go look for your questions. If you want, please feel free to PM also. If I don't know the answers, I'll find them and get back with you. :)
