ok... anyone know what is goin on?

ok... here's the scoop. I went to get my pincher in evis.. all is goin well Im kickin the snot out of the bugs and everything and then I recalled home after I got it, when I got into my apartment and unequiped my AR 150mod +11 xbow to equip my wand.. my xbow dissappeared?!? what is that about!? it is no where to be found! anyone have any similiar problems? Also I unloaded 2 full packs (in my house) off my char Saturn Rising and was going to put them on my toon Ichorid, and when I logged ichorid in both packs were gone!! OMG I was mad!

these events happened 2 days between each other. any ideas or know anyone I can complain to? Also I now have no good xbow to kill plated tuskers with to make any xp for the chain, so if anyone has a good lower work (6 or lower) 150 mod xbow with +8 or better, I could have or buy from anyone, I would appreciate it. Thanks alot.

I have lost a number of items recently when muling by putting stuff on the floor. To the point I don't do it any more unless I don't care about the items that much.

I have never had an item disappear from my pack but have heard of this happening to others. Nothing you can do about it from what I have heard

The only time I had this happen was way back on Pee-Wee, I lost 7 Geldite Treasure keys (Nice DI's), and my Staff of the Nomads. I died, never @permit anyone, went directly back to my corpse, and those things were missing. (Nobody stole them, because there were far better pieces of armor on their that remined).

I tried to talk to Admins, but... it's pointless. Otherwise, everyone and their brother would be claiming to have lost something.

I never heard that things disappear from inside the inventory (although there was a short time where things disappeared from inventory between logout and the next login - but this was fixed long ago).
It *does* happen though that things you receive or unwield become "invisible" in the mainpack. When you logout and relog those items should be back.

It happens that stuff disappears from house floors when logging out+in (for muling).
The reason is that you might just be logging out your toon when the 5-minute "landblock period" is about to end and the next one is started with a cleanup.
The landblock is reset and items/packs on the floor are treated as disposable items (like corpses whose timer has been up) and deleted.
Your other toon logs into the "new" landblock and the stuff is gone......

I believe it is a bug in the timer implementation for landblocks containing houses - probably related to the need for updating additional information with the timer - like house availability and maintenances.
Usually when you put stuff down in a populated landblock it remains there the full 5 minutes (or so). When you put it down and everyone leaves the landblock it might remain there for days - like corpses in Bobo/Queen end room.
But in houses sometimes the items' "remain there" - timer is reset to 0 immediately when the mentioned landblock period changes.

That might explain what happened. But it wont bring your stuff back....
I myself lost 3 packs full of jewelry in the beginning of housing and some trophies a few days ago, my vassal 2 packs of level 6 jewelry (which were pretty valuable back then).

As for the XBow - I will check my mules. But did you really check by relogging if it wasn't "just invisible" ?

Items left on the floor in your house will only last a minute or two before disappearing.

You have to be very fast. I use to do it outside of my house when no one was around.

I understand what you guys are saying, and yes I have checked storms packs numerous times after relogging and even after rebooting my machine. its still no where to be found. very frustrating.

at least I know that Im not losing my mind, which at the time I thought was the case.

thanks so much for your imput and if you guys would keep an eye out for another couple xbows with the specs mentioned above (incase imbues fail) I would appreciate it.
