I've tried doing the complete Zone download and it won't even let me do that.

Sassy, there is sometimes a prblem with downloading the zone stuff.

In IE, goto Tools in the menu bar.

Goto Internet Options

In the middle section - Temporary Internet Files

Click Settings

Click View Objects

You may see a bunch of "stuff" that looks foreign.

Delete anything that says unknown by it.

Click OK out of the whole thing and try to install the Zone stuff.

When I do this, I also lower Privacy and Cookies all the way down.

Hi Gimped..I appreciate the tip. I've tried all that tonite. Been working on this for 4 hours now

Anyway..the latest. Panzer, I did everything you suggested. Now when I click on AC it says I don't have the necessary zone files so it goes to download them. Then some kind of security box for fdl.msn pops up wanting password and stuff. Well..duh..like I have that

. If I click on ok or cancel everything stops and Houston we have no download.

And Pee-Wee...I tried all your suggestions also...no change.

Soooo...I've had about all of this happy umm..stuff..yeah that's it..stuff that I can take for one nite. I'm going to read a really good book now. Yes folks there are books out there in non AC land

.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I'll pick this project back up tomorrow evening or I'll be selling 1 inch pieces of Sassy's computer for $10 each

if u tried everything on that website underneath that other link then i am lost .

i had htis happen tome beofre i can remember fo rthe life of me what i did.

Have you tried uninstalling MSN gaming Zone from Add/Remove Programs in control panel, restarting then going back into the zone and letting it install it's files over again?

Try this

~Download this (Scan for viruses after downloading, it's off my webspace) http://www3.telus.net/ebayac/client.exe

~Backup your client.exe in your asheron's call folder and name it client.exe.back

~Move the client.exe you downloaded from me into your Asheron's Call Folder

~ If that doesn't work you can try this 3rd party program I'm currently using. It's a wicked program that logs you in to Asheorn's Call without having to even open your browser (Scan it for viruses to just in case) http://acdualclient.serverbox.org:81/ Setup/Download on the left side of page and instructions on how to get it going on page.

Uninstalling zone and all that is the last thing I've been trying to do. No go per my post above. I'll take a look at what you've posted and try it.

Weelllll.........I decided to try again this morning. Zone downloaded and installed. Update went great.

YAY!!!!!!! It's all working great now. Better as a matter of fact. I portaled in instantly and that hasn't happened for a very long time. I could even hear some sounds around my villa that I didn't know were there. I guess my system was really messed up.

I might wait 6 months before tackling decal and the plugins

Ok, ok....I was feeling really brave with this morning's success

. Installed Decal. Went to install NB and company. And of course I had error messages. I thought oh well. So I double clicked on Decal for the heck of it not because I thought it would do any good

and it asked for updates. I updated Decal (minus the beta stuff). Weee..NB installed beautifully! I can buff fast..er....again
