decal problems

when i turn on decal and try to log on im getting error messages saying somthing about it could not creat a direct draw, any idea of what this is and how to fix it?

uninstall, delete the decal folder and reinstall.

I've had that one tons of times. Try updating decal. Otherwise I used to have to reboot every nite before logging in just to keep this error from happening.

Now I have a whole new set of computer problems

I've found that cursing, kicking and genral threats of violence sometimes helps. . . but mainly updating Decal and ALL your plugins is the best solution. Sometimes I miss one of the plugs after a patch and I crash time and time again.

Then, after the above mentioned tirade is finished, I update my files and away I go, usually none the worse for wear (well, sometimes hurt my hand after thumping the desk in sheer frustration

)

Well I've been updating the plugins on a regular basis. About 2 weeks ago I started having lag problems. I start the night off just fine and the about 1 1/1 hours into the night I start lagging until it gets so bad that I totally freeze in place.

I have added memory to my computer.....no fix. I replace my nic card yesterday...no fix. Last nite I rebooted and turned decal off....wee...no lag.

Waaaa...I gotta have my NB at the very least

.

Soooo today I'm going to uninstall AC and reinstall it just in case some files are corrupt. Any other suggestions you guys have would be greatly appreciated it.

And SMT......didn't mean to hijack your thread

but maybe we'll all learn something

Sassy what plug-ins to you use, the issue maybe one of them. I would suggest try run decal with just say NB for a night and see if that helps. If that helps then try add on of the other plug-ins back and see how that works, then keep doing that untill you find the plug-in that is casing the problem

Kero, I only use NB, 6th sense, Robochef and Oracle. And as of this morning I uninstalled all the decal stuff and working on reinstalling it. I tried to install the NB filter and got error messages and now can't get that working. I'm really close to finding a really big hammer

Ok, i fixed it, did what panzer said but also had to restart and not use the beta updates, all is good now
