I have an AMD 64 bit chip now running XP.

So far, all the drivers are fine.

Running the new Intel Dual Core with 2MB cache on each core.

Have 4 gigs of RAM and 512MB on the video card.

Fighting with Unreal Tournament right now. :)

I was advised by my shop guys to stick with xp and not go for xp x64 professional as there were driver issies expecially for game related support as it not for that. The new windows operation system should take care of that but again im not sure i want to switch over when the first release it.

I have 2 geforce 7900 256k in an sli configuration to match my dual core amd and it does howl.

However i having trouble with my nvidia set up is not working with Dark and Light though I have no issues with DDO or Ac1.

:-D
happy trails all

Everything is groovy so far. I traced the Unreal Issue to Sound Drivers -- updated and everything is groovy. :)

So far, everything is rocking and rolling -- I installed UT2004 and Call of Duty 2 and jacked everything max with no issues at all.

I considered and still may do the SLI thing. But, so far, there have been no issues regarding video at all. I will be testing 3D rendering later, but so far it's blazing.

What I would do is dual boot the thing. See how it performs. You will have to reinstall your apps, but you can change the registry to point everything to Program Files instead of Program Files (x64) so you won't have everything installed twice.
