Login Problem

Ok, stupid question, but...

If I load AC on a new PC, how can I get it to stop telling me I don't have a subscription?

I go to the subscription page and it tells me I already have a full account.. blah blah blah, but I still can't get into the game.

I'm using the same zone stuff. I take it this subscription is some registry entry or file?

I should be able to load the game on another computer and run it. I'm not using two computers at the same time. I just wanna use a different computer.

Any help??

Have you tried burning all your AC files onto a cd, and then copying them onto the new computer?
I'm not sure if MSN has anyway to tell the difference between a person trying to "move" their installation to a new computer, and someone who's "borrowing" a friends disc so they can play without buying the software. It sux, but hey, it's MSN. What did you expect?

PW, you can load the client on as amny computers as you want. THe only thing that matters is the key on the back of the CD, which you assigned to ONE zone account.


So you can only log into that CD Key on that ONE account in which you assigned it to.

So just start you new PC up log into the zonel ike you always would and boom your in

Ok.. I'm confused.

I loaded AC on the new computer, and I am doing everything like I would normally. I'm not trying to do anything other than log into my Pee-Wee account.

I went in, it downloaded the huge zone file, I get to the Solclaim startup thing, but as soon as I click Play, it just keeps telling me I need a subscription and to click on "Subscription" on the main page.

When I do that, it tells me I already have an account.

I only have the one CD, so I loaded from that one.

I understand them not wanting people to steal software, but... I'm trying to log into my normal account, there is nothing underhanded about that.

Do you have a Dark Majesty account and installed the pre Expansion Pack software? You have to install the software from the DM CD.

It is important that you read the "you dont have a subscription" message carefully. Which game does it mention ? "Asheron's Call" or "Asheron's Call Dark Majesty" ?

On the new PC do you use the correct Game Room webpage and not the old "Asheron's Call" (without DM) one ?
Don't laugh - I already saw people making this mistake

You can install the very same original CD on as many PCs as you like and you do not need to enter any product code or license number.
You even can use this very same CD on a PC that you will use with another account parallel to your first PC installed from this CD.

The only restriction you have is that you can only log one PC into one account at a time. If you log the same account on a second PC your first one gets booted from AC due to "CoC violation".
