Hrm.

I still have my AC Links folder in firefox. Well into my second month of hiatus and whenever I hit the bookmarks, my hand still reflexively brings the mouse to rest where the pointer hovers over the AC folder, even though I'm loggin on to check the news or my new-found hobby sites.

I suppose 5+yrs of conditioning takes a bit longer to break than I thought.

(no, I'm not re-subbing this month either, but thanks for caring!)

So far, yep. Unfortunately, still no compunction or desire to play.

Asked the wife if she were interested in learning to play Magic the Gathering (I've got one hell of a collection from my college and bachelor years), and to my surprise, she said "hell yeah!".

And there we are. I built a tournament deck of each color for her to learn with and we play no fewer than three rounds (up to 9 games) weekly using only those decks. She's about got the basics mastered and is rapidly gaining confidence (and cockiness).

My real worry is if she starts liking it too much, I'll have to start buying cards again. Ah well, c'est l'amor.
