Sad/Happy News

Post by Todtstoy » Sat Sep 10, 2005 3:47 am

Today at 3:00 Aunt Nancy finally gave up her life. She went as she desired. Home with me at her side. I have the nothing but respect for her. It has been a very long 11 weeks. So very hard to see someone you love waste away to nothing. I must say she stayed totally with it till the last 2 days. She has slipped in and out of a coma the last 24 hours. When she passed she has such a beautiful smile on her face. All the stress wrinkles on her forhead were gone. I know where ever she went it was a happy place. She was so at peace. I thank everyone here in my LD family for the love and support all have given me. You have kept me sane through this VERY stressfull time. The people that kept in touch with me are very dear to my heart. I love you all so very much. Thank you for being my extended family. I should be home in a week or so. I am going to stay and make sure my mother in law is settled and ok. Keep me in your prayers. I am off to bed finally. I haven't been to sleep since yesterday at 2 pm. I'll be home soon.

Even though its sad I'm glad that the inevitable is finally over for you Toy. You did a wonderful and terribly difficult thing for your Aunt and I'm sure it meant the world to her. I can't express to you the respect that I have for you for you doing such a thing for a loved one. Many people would be willing to try, but would simply be unable to muster the strength to be able to carry through. I'm glad to hear she passed so peacefully. Godspeed to you on gettng back here safe and sound. Get some good sleep. You deserve it. :)

Sorry to hear about your loss. But, you must be commended on your strength. You showed amazing strength in the last couple of months that not many people would have.

heya toy,
hope you get some rest, you need it and i hope to see you soon. and whenever this event gets you sad just remember the silly moments and the goofy smiles shared. That always got me thru my grandpa's passing.
