Thenetworkgod said something the other day in a post about Bush going "over here" for the G8 Summit. I wondered if he lives in Scotland or England or where. I wonder also if the attack was timed to coincide with the start of the G8. It certainly seems so, given the date and time it happened.

Of course it was planned to coincide with G8. The availability of publicity was the main draw; how many news organizations had staff on site? A bunch of world leaders, all in the area of the attack. What do "terrorists" seek beyond attention to their cause or effort? I hate to say it, but I saw this coming. The math was too strong to think otherwise. I only wish I'd said something, but likely there were smarter minds than mine who drew the same conclusion months ago.

Now watch and see...GB will factionize with half saying it was Blair's fault it happened because he drug GB into the conflict, the other half will galvanize their support of the "war on terror". The worldwide political fallout will be interesting to witness. One can only speculate as to the outcome. Will Blair receive the commitment he needs to continue to support the "war" or will he lose political capital on the grounds that "he's responsible for the attack because of GB's involvement".

I'll wager Al-Jazira is having a heyday regardless.

Thanks Panz. I hope you find one that workx!

Not from the UK, I am Danish. I am ok. Thanks for caring!

Its just terrible that anyone does that to innocent people.

Bush was here in Denmark on his 59th B-day and celebrated it with our Queen. Danish airspace was totally closed for several hours while AF1 landed, the choppers took Bush to one of our royal castles where he spent the night and the following day as he rode by car to our prime ministers home and when AF1 took off again.

What a sad, sad day. :(

ok let me dig it out of mail and pm you it!

On a positive note, heard from yen mei and yafel:

P.S. Just worked out what you would be frantic about. The attack on London
didn't hit anyone we know. Darren's sister and her fella spent 1.5 hours
getting in to work, rather than the usual 20 or so.

There was a suspicious package found on a bus in Coventry, but after sealing
off the bus station, it all went quiet - probably just someone's shopping!

Caroline.
