Important reminder for ToD

Post by Panzerfaust » Mon Jun 27, 2005 3:21 pm

Decal will not work. There is a possibility that there will be no bots of any kind.

It could be a while too. So, you may want to develop you're schools of magic. From what I have read, the spec -unspec quests will have a one minute timer until September. This will allow you make your character self sufficient.

I am not upgrading Jason's subscription to ToD, since he never moves more than a few hundred yards a month. :)

I don't know if the XPACK will affect that machine or not. We'll see.

Bugger.

I'll miss U.S.T., 6th Sense, AC-Trade, and...ummmm... U.S.T.

But I think I'll miss U.S.T. the most. Followed by 6th Sense then a Tradebot of somekind.

Bugger.

One would THINK and HOPE they automated buffing ... - that is SO SO SO tedious. Never mind spells during combat, but please please buffing.

Lol - I hear so many - "Anyone know where the buffbots are?" in ToD preview these days.

I'm sure after a month or so of release there will be plugins to replace those we have come to know and love
Shindhi/Phade/Flesh Puppet -SC - Retired
Shindhi/Wamphyri - DT - Retired

While it is kind of pain without some plugins, I wouldn't mind not having any for a little while.

We wouldn't see as much population density in certain areas.

Buffing isn't tedious for those who get their Life and sometimes, Creature, from Arcane Lore. You hit buttons sequentially, 8 times for armor, and 3 to 4 times for a weapon. Takes about 2 minutes or less. Lets you focus your xp into more specialized areas too!

Insofar as life without plugins is concerned, BTDT for about 3 years straight. Then I came to my senses.

I don't want the game played for me, but a magically automated wood-chipper that dealt with my salvage would sure as hell be a quest item I'd go for...weekly if I had to.

And CORPSE TRACKING for kills, especially for mobs that get stacked, should be a given...I should otherwise be able to pile the bods neatly after looting... :x Automated loot scanning is nice too, but it's the corpse tracking I really like for increasing functionality for looting.

Now, for live trading? Pfaugh! I used to have time for it, but not anymore. Still, it'd be neat to see it again. Always made extra time for a good haggle!
