Any archers feel the same as I about now?

level 97 archer here on SC

Bow buffs to 400
Melee buffs to 370

Bow 166% mod +12% Melee

I cannot land anything on most of what I hunted prior to this patch.

My food
Plats - Hit for less and cant attack from distance

Pyreals - give me a break, I used to bring acuracy down two notches and hit them 3 or 4 times bam dead, now I have to be right on them and miss every other time.

Crystal - havnt found one yet owned them before with my CS 158% mod bow

Titus - before, 4-5 hits bam they were dead. Now it takes to many arrows and time to be worth anything

Thrashers - Seems harder to land now as well

Basically everything I fight I have to be right on it and I am using three times the arrows and making half the XP.

This has reallly made it hard for me to want to stay in the game. I have two archers and I cant kill for crap with either anymore.

Well, I tell ya'... It's not just bow. I'm not landing squat now on the same things I WAS hunting. However, if you check out other monsters, you might find out, as I did, you can hit them far better than before the patch.

There are several N. Dires type monsters I avoided like the plague before the patch. Today, I was killing like crazy.

No.. not in VoD.

My bow also buffs to 400, VoD was no real problem before patch, now I'm lucky to land 1: 5 the lichs and 1:10 on most everything else there.

Had to set acuracy all the way up to hit most of the stuff a Aer., but i do that general anyways so no big deal there. Was hitting for about the same on the bandies and durges there. At the Tusker Holding i saw no difference, but then again have hunted there in months.

That's part of the rebalancing. At a certain level, the island was one big XP farm. Now, everyone has to work at it a little harder. The archers basically just went thru the same balancing that us mages went thru several patches ago. This is why I had to spec War yesterday and drop three skills. Was frustrating at first, but you'll get used to it and realize it's more challenging now?

But, look at it this way. We don't resent the archers anymore for hitting for 2700. :) You will still hit harder than anything out there.

I am a archer, and will raise dagger from now...

Crotti and i tested someting yesterday:

We imp'ed a tiatus lugian.. and we did NOT get a single it on him!!!

Crotti tryed UA, and hit him for 50points pr hit!!!! :cry: :cry:

All in all this patch SUX!

I have a 350 base UA and hunted tusker holding last night as well as some other monsters. It has affected us too, we hit for less, I was hitting Rampagers for 12-15 points a pop and crits anywhere from 36-76. Before the patch i was hitting for 25-50 and crits for 105-200. I still enjoy it, just means I will need to work a little harder and prolly in fellows more than on my own.

anyone notice how much more stuff they resist with there magic D skill? mine is only 325 buffed and i resisted ALOT more now then i did befor.

I an archer and was still hitting stuff last nite at VoD and still getting several crits in a row. Yes, I'm getting more evades and less points per hit. But if there is a mage around, things are much better and not much different than before. But then again, I'm almost always teamed up with a mage, life's just more fun that way :lol:

But for me, whatever.....it's no big deal. I'm just out for fun with friends and I like challenges. And actually the xp at VoD was much better last nite than it has been. No complaints from me on any of this, it's just an adjustment in play.

Archers are especially shocked by the patch, because up until now virtually everything on the server had almost non-existent missile D. I have two archer characters. They, once again have to fear for their lives. It makes the game exciting. I personally don't like begin able to wipe out everything in sight without risk.

Hhmm...I must have been doing something wrong, I've always feared for my life :lol: . Fat lot of good it does since I have over 400 deaths :lol: :lol: .

I just wish people would quit bashing archers and saying we've been given our due. We all had a choice at character creation :D.

As I said earlier, none of this is a big deal for me. The xp is great and I'll still hang out with my friends. I'll still hit the environment as I always have and I'll still get teased about picking up all my arrows :lol:

It's not about bashing archers. It's more about bashing Turbine's decisions. They have been creating new critters with huge Melee or Magic D, but no Missile D.
