Check block for new VOD dungeon

Post by acaddict » Wed Nov 26, 2003 3:58 am

I would like to check the block for the new VOD dungeon to see if MP or any other common place shares xp with that dung.

Would like to mention, I'm gonna try to put together a fellow for that dungeon Wednesday evening. There will be a very very high level restriction for getting in this fellow. I want to learn the tricks on how to survive in there with a as good of hunters as we can.

This way several of us will be able to take lower levels in there for power leveling. I'm thinking if it is done right, a fellow can get 60 million per hour or better!!

Count me in AC. What time do you think you will be going. I'm off tomorrow and would really like to go in there.

I'm off tomorrow and also available tomorrow night if you want a gimp mage along Ac. :) What time are you thinking of going?

I've been wanting to go check the place out anyway but haven't had the time since the patch. I can help with checking the "XP block" too, if you want.

If you're used to spanking monkeys, you won't like this very much. Level 7 war spells and dispel traps that will suck the 7's right off of you.

Its a rough place for sure.

Banderlings topside, Drudges down below.

Drop is safe.

I been a few times and never really tracked xp except for guestimating. I seemed to have pulled 30million in about 45mins with a full fellow on one run in the place.

Remember, Drudge Seraphs take much more damage from CS than from AR. So CS PIERCE and they'll drop like flys. Thats for the regular Seraphs. The Seraph Mystics take more damage from AR. Im not sure what they are most vulnerable to. We only tried pierce.

Im willing to wager the Market is on the same landblock. All the new dungeons the past few patches have been on the market landblock, so it wouldn't surprise me if this one was too.

Heat, you are correct about the ar and cs on the different drudges. My fire AR seemed to work pretty good on the mystics. I don't have an AR pierce so, haven't been able to compare.

One thing to remember is that the dispell trap doesn't wipe out banes or weapon buffs. Only takes about a minute and a half to rebuff critter and life.

I plan on trying to start organizing this at 5 pm pst.

Oh, I invited Khaz Modaan, hope no one has a problem with that

Yeah, CS Pierce on a regular Seraph and I can bang em for 2500-2800 on a crit.

Oof recorded some numbers from the vod ls and the MP. The numbers were the same but inconclusive on %. Guess this means we need to try it again sometime.

Easiest way to test for passthrough, is to lure one or two into the drop room.

That way you kill two and you know exactly how much xp you should get.

I'd be suprised if the VoD LS passed through a lot of xp, because its outside. The Market is known to be linked with the AL tusker dungeons and Asheron's Island olthoi dungeons, so it wouldn't surprise me if Hidden Caverns is the same deal.

I'm game too, and just had a thought (burned a hole in my hat doing it too)

Where are the mansion basements? has anyone checked xp witht hem?

if they are also in the same block as the MP ones we may not have to park in mp to pass up mad xp ;)

or they may be linked with other dungeons.. lets do some testing with those

The marketplace seemed to pass through 100%. I wasn't running combater on the other machine so I was having to guess a little bit, but it looked like everything was going through.

Some XP passed through to the VoD LS, with a significant loss. I'm thinking about 60% to 70% passed through. The MP is definitely a better place to park a pusher.

Panzer has been testing the mansion basement with different spots. I'm not sure if anything has been a high enough passthrough yet for him to have started making a list. We can check with him and see.

That makes me Axer without a Pierce weapon extremely happy

But I am a bit confused - CS is about the number of crits, not the damage per crit which is CB ?

Or do you mean 2500 regular crit damage, but more often due to CS ?

Which reminds me to unmule those dusty CB weapons for testing.
According to the Rollout Letter they tweaked CB : "Crippling Blow should now have approximately the same level of effectiveness as the Critical Strike imbue."
