I'm going to ocassionally post something I think is extra-relevant to the chain and I will title those posts all with FROM THE DESK OF OOF: I was trying to think of a way to make it easy for chain members to find a particular topic. This way, all you have to do is search for posts with DESK in the title. Believe me, you don't want to search for posts with Oof in them

Well, that was going to be it for this post, but I decided I might as well say something pertinent in here. I think the following is important, probably more important than anything else I'll say, because it drives everything we as chain managers do.
The relationship between clan and chain is an integral one within LD. LD has been around for a long time. This chain, or one of its direct predecessors has been around for a long time. To the best of my knowledge, we have the longest continually running chain on the server. We have one strong XP chain, with three different complementary sections. We currently have 157 chain members. There are 40 in the Order of Hyssop, 51 in the Food Chain and 66 in the Casual Chain. Hunting requirements for the chain run from a no added XP quota requirement to a 12 million XP per week requirement, which requires somewhere around 50 million hunted XP per week. Sometimes it may feel like all you do is hunt to make quota. Sometimes being in a chain is fun; sometimes it feels like a chore. People complain about things; other people don't complain about things. Sometimes certain topics strike a chord and tempers flare. But there is one thing to always remember:
We are first and foremost, Last Dynasty. This monarchy continues to enjoy a good reputation and a stability that is very rare. It has survived the retirement of two (dare I say it?) legendary characters of AC with Youkay and Nakamuro Zataki, and continued on under the leadership of Panzerfaust amazingly seamlessly. All of the chain members belong to the chain, yes, but we also wear the LD tag. Everything the chain managers do is a balance between what is best overall for the chain and what is best for the clan. If there is ever an issue with a particular action between those two goals, what is best for the clan will ALWAYS win. If there is ever an issue between what is best for the overall chain and a particular chain member, obviously what is best for the overal chain is what will win. (If it wasn't, I would have 12 direct vassals, each of which is on top of a chain.

I will be posting on some potentially volatile topics soon (and others that just have a lot of math in them). Anytime you see a topic in the forums, absolutely feel free to post. Even stronger than just "feeling free to post," I am actively soliciting your feedback. Just keep in mind the managers will weigh everything against what is best for the clan and what is best for the chain, in that order
