The Casual Chain has no XP quota per se and accepts characters of any level. You are expected to get your pincers when they are due, and you are expected to quest some, but those are things most players already do anyway. The Casual Chain is for those members who want to maximize their XP, but who don't want to be required to produce a certain amount of XP each week. The Food Chain has an XP quota requirement of passing up 100% of the XP that is passed to you, except there is a cap of a maximum of 6 million XP per week that you are expected to generate from outside of the chain (your own hunting, other non-chain vassels, pincer turn-ins, etc.). Belonging to the Food Chain and maintaining the XP quota does require a certain degree of dedication to hunting. In the recent past, the Food Chain has been open to characters of all levels. During our on-going discussions of how to make the chain experience better for our clan members, the managers decided it will be more beneficial to both chains overall to impose certain level limits on the Food Chain (there have been level limits in the past, depending on the makeup of the chain). Starting Monday, new membership in the Food Chain will be limited to characters of level 75 and higher. Characters of less than level 75 who would like to join an XP chain are encouraged to join the Casual Chain. If you have a character who is lower than level 75 and you feel strongly you want that character in the Food Chain, you have until Sunday night to post an application (that will allow anyone who has been thinking about it time to take care of things before the level restrictions are put into place).
There are many lower-level players in the Casual Chain and you will probably find you are quite happy with the XP you will get. The Food Chain will accept characters of level 75 and higher, including current members of the Casual Chain (you have to be cleared from the Casual Chain first:)) Both chains require ACStats to be running and the chain reg file to be installed before a character is placed into one of the chains. In order for a character to show up in the ACStats database and to upload, they must be sworn to someone in Last Dynasty. There is a Panzerfaust Monarch check, so Panzer must be their Monarch to upload. Anyone wanting to join the chain will have to be sworn into the monarchy before your chain application can be processed. Also, we STRONGLY encourage you to intall Meginjarder and use it to talk with other clan members ingame. See my signature for links to ACStats and Meginjarder.
