Why don't we insert at the bottom of the chain?

Seems like the chain grows above me, but never under me... any reason whey we don't put new Food Chainers near the bottom of the chain, or AT the bottom?
Or is the whole chain getting smaller?

All new 126+ get inserted at the lowest place possible, if they are old chain members that left in good stead, then they are placed at true level. Also looking at the chain page, the upper half of the chain is actually at the bottom of the page. Hope this helps!

Look really close at the levels, and not at the order on the chain stats page. Until Kazeyer gets sworn back in and everything is updating correctly, the page will be messed up.
