why am i showing 0% passup?
I hunted for 220 million Xp today alone. I previously had a 110 million xp cushion. Now the new chain listing says i am at 0 passup. *sigh* can we please find a registry setting and keep it. This is the 3rd time i have had to use a new ld reg file for acstats. if it aint broke dont fix it.

Although your frustration is understandable there is no reason to spew it likes this.
but anyway
Quota is not something you just make in order to get your vassal xp, although by the letter of the law you only need the maximum pass up the intention of the chain is to make everybody benifit form the xp flow in the clan.
Making a buffer that now might not show up on the tats page is not bull:
1. You gained that XP for yourself, so nothing is lost
2. You pushed it in the clan that produced millions more for you than you give to it. So you helped many people
3 Buffer or no buffer you have to make quota anyway.
And once again you are in you right to earn the requiered XP in one run and then sit down and do nothing untill it is time to make quota again, however it is no shame to make more than your quota.
Think of it as a bonus. If you want another buffer you go out and hunt for it again and then voila! you have made twice the XP yuo normally make and it ALL goes into your own stats!

I kept my cushion up so i could move up in the chain. I was told as long as you were 5% passup higher then your patron for like 21 days then you could move up. I did this and now i need to start that over.
Thats where the aggrivation comes into play.

i agree acstats is the buggist POC ive seen
ive lost untold amounts of credit do to non stop screw ups why this monarchy feels it has to use it when the rest of the world used tree stats ill never understand
heres a little tip if its not broke dont fix it meaning stay with something that works
and if you dont feel i should be venting like this as you told someone else then maybe i should get one of the many posts talking about acstats bugs answered once in awhile if your going to hold me to to rules shouldnt the higher ups be held to them also

There is a difference between expressing a problem with something and declaring it a POC.
Almost everytime there has been a problem with ACStats there have been numerous, very clear posts about it and how to fix things.
FYI The resent change in out statspage has come about for a number of reasons that have been stated and ended on the private boards.
Do not post whines or complaints before you inform yourself about what might be happening. Ask first, be informed and lastly judge.

This is not an issue with Acstats! This is an issue with the writer of the clan data base and his right to keep his own program and move on.
I had 530 million xp banked and know how you feel Grim. We live in an imperfect world and just have to deal with it sometimes. The problem I see is that some people may have had a lot banked so they could go on vacation over Thanks Giving.
I hope we don't have any removal orders until we get a 21 day period to look back on character production.

Alot of people have XP banked for PLanned vacations. trips or whatever is there reason. The point is that they earned it. Not everyone banks alot of XP so they can be lazy till it goes back down. But even if they do. Its there Cushion to do so. Now we lost this cushion. Whatever the reasoning maybe. I worked hard to get myself a high enough cushion so i can move up in the chain. And now its for not and i have to start over.

Stampy, if you have a problem like this PM a manager instead of spilling venom over the board. The ACStats system we use has been around since May 2002, which is probably longer than Treestats (which also had its shares of problems).
The benefit for us is that we are not dependent on a third party and when problems do appear we can fix them ourselves.

Grimly lighten up already please. I think it's evident to everyone by now that you're unhappy about this. For the record, I'm not happy about it either, though not for the same reasons.
I am not going to post removals until 21 days have passed and everyone has a full quota cycle in the database, so no worries there.
Rebirth, you don't need 21 days worth of data in order to establish a quota % of X. If you hunt enough harder than your patron, you will show a higher percentage almost immediately. It's late, and I'm tired, but you're in the OH correct? The way promotions work for that is that we generally announce a promotion evaluation period stating (a rare occurence) and we wait for 21 days from that point before evaluating the percentages of the different characters. Assuming you are in the OH (and I believe you are), your previous 21 days would be a non-consideration anyway. The main point about the OH is to preserve the loyalty bonus except in extreme cases (mostly determined by who hunts hard enough during the promotion evaluation periods).
Yes, we moved to a new database because Ranger left and "took his ball" with him when he left. He had little choice in the matter. Either we let Ranger take away our posting abilities to the old databse, or we continued to use the old program and looked like a bunch of world-class jerks in the process. We opted to stop using the previous stats page.
Yes, everyone's XP buffer stayed in the old database.
Yes, AC Stats is an aggravation sometimes because little things don't work exactly the way we would like them to.
Yes, Treestats has had more than it's share of troubles, many of which wouldn't be seen by sub-126s, since I've had it down for days following a patch when the 126+ hook wasn't working right.
Yes, by using AC Stats we can get the customized views the managers need to be able to run the chain a little better than we otherwise would be able to.
No, it's not perfect, but then nothing else is either.
No, Treestats isn't the program the rest of the world uses; some of them use Meginjarder, and some of them, yes, even use AC Stats.
Bottom line: AC Stats is what we use to track chain status. Love it or hate it, this is what we use. We use it because it meets the needs of the clan better than any alternative we have looked at so far. If we find a better, more customizable, friendlier, more proven tool out there we would probably switch to it.
