ATTN: Smiley II, Compadre. Removals. CANCELLED.

[Edited by Oof: Read my reply a few posts down for the reason. No other removal orders should be cancelled. The only reason this one was is that I messed up on posting for removal.]
Removing Lagmatic for quota failure. Please complete the following ASAP.

1) Compadre swear to Smiley II

2) Smiley II set key vassal to Compadre

3) Post here when complete.

Note: Lagmatic, you are welcome to rejoin the chain in accordance with the Food Chain policies that are listed in the policies post. I am sorry to have to post these removal orders. If you go back and look, there are posts over the past week or so saying removal orders were coming and unless the managers were told there was some reason for people being behind and a plan to fix the quota situation, that removal orders were going to be posted. Like the other folks being removed, you are welcome to rejoin. Read the policies thread, see what the procedures are, and then if you would like back in the chain we can proceed with the reinsertion process.

You asked ranger to look at the problem, and said you wouldn't boot me until he did. He has not replied.

Ranger was in the bloody fellowship I made 100M in! I made sure people told him I was there all day.

Oh, and I've been in game about 5 horus now, I'm probably caught up with the broken quota even.

Orders cancelled. Sorry Lag, you are right in that I told you I wouldn't do anything until Ranger had looked at your database issue. I forgot about telling you that. What I did remember posting was the following that I put into the announcement at the top of the Food Chain forum
Removal orders are going up in a little while. If you haven't updated ACStats and you're showing Failed, you need to go update. If you can't update, you need to post here saying that you can't. Once removal orders have been posted they are to be carried out, regardless.

Currently, the only "Failed" person I know of who will not have removal orders posted is Oneman, who has told us he is working on recovering his computer from a virus.
Ok, that's enough of my trying to justify why I posted removal orders for you. I screwed up by forgetting I had told you I would wait on a verdict from Ranger. I am sorry for any consternation the post may have caused you.

BTW, for anyone (not just Lagmatic) reading this post, if it's your character's position in the chain you are working on saving it's best to assume Oof is a chucklehead who can't remember anything, and post a reply anytime you see me posting announcements about removals and that I need a reply or you're gone.

Heh, I *stalk* forgive *stalk* you *stalk*.

Even though I'm caught up, I do want somebody to look into that issue.

I think we're like the only chain left that still uses acstats, and I'm starting to wonder why everybody else switched! =)

I suspect they switched mostly because they were too lazy or didn't have the technical expertise to modify their own ACStats database, and so are using Treestats instead.

Regarding the database thing and your quota, I honestly expect the numbers jump was due to a massive hunting session of yours falling out of the date range the quota window was including, but I can't tell for sure because I can't (and don't want to be able to  ) see the individual data records that are contained in the database. If it was a database glitch it would most likely affect everyone in the chain, as I doubt Ranger's code is customized for each individual chain member when doing its calculations.

I'll PM Ranger and ask him to look at your dataset when he gets a chance. I don't know how busy RL is keeping him at the moment.

its all tri-latteral engineering, involving quasi-chronal physics.. based on the theory, tested out at MIT, that if given 3 gils of CO2,Oz7 mixed with chloropexolhidrate will cause extreme reactivity when applied to a base cube 3cm x 12 cm set into a framework and extended over an area forced to 3a of force.

Grr, that's easy Compadre. Because Oof made another boneheaded mistake while I was typing up the orders that's why. ;) I'd like to say it was a test to see if you were all paying attention, but I suspect you would see through that thinly veiled attempt to escape the responsiblity of my actions. I think I'll go sit myself down in the corner for a while and make myself think about being much more careful when typing up posts.

Sorry about that Comp.

Oh, and thanks Phade, for trying to cover for me by clouding what happened with scientific mumbo jumbo. If nothing else, reading it made my head hurt and maybe that will serve as some sort of pennance. :)

I had to pull out the table of elements for it too, and i still think I got the formula completely botched
