All of you were on the slacker list last week and were given until Sunday to get yourselves in compliance. Yet today, on THURSDAY, you remain in noncompliance.

You are all failing quota as of your last uploads.

Your managers and chainmates have been very patient with you. Its past time for all of you to comply with your quota reqs.

I need two things from all of you TODAY OR TONIGHT.

1. AN UPLOAD dated today (Oct 9).

2. Compliance with your quota reqs.

Compliance with #1 will be the bare minimum to remain in the chain. If I don't see an upload today or tomorrow morning, your removal orders will be posted. Hopefully your uploads will show you all passing. If not, you will be expected to make up whatever quota deficits you may have post haste.

Do yourselves a favor and get this taken care of.
This is your final warning.

This seems like a very timely spot to remind people of this:

From the OH Rules:

Reinsertion of Removed OH Members
OH members who have been removed from the chain may be reinserted into the chain if they desire. Members who are first time removals will be reinserted at the bottom of the OH. Members who have been removed repeatedly are welcome to apply to be placed in the Food Chain, but will not be placed in the OH again until they have completed a 21 day trial period in which they have shown the ability to meet the OH quota.

Please be aware of the policy for OH removals. The XP is all good, but removals will result in being placed in at the bottom of the OH chain, and some folks don't like the relative "loss of status." If being placed at the bottom of the OH will bother you, do everything in your power (mostly communicating with the managers and hunting/fellowing like crazy) to avoid removal.

I usually stay quiet about things, but this has been eating away at me. I would say 8 or 9 out of 10 people that end up failing or not updating have good reasons. Theirs always an occasional person that is a "TRUE" slacker, but most of us have good reasons.

We all enjoy the humorous jest in the slacker list, but it can go to far. The smart _ss comments that are often made can get alittle old. And all these petty little post from people that are NOT managers, are uncalled for.

Lord knows I'm always trying to make sure I'm passing, but unfortunately I play during hours when most people are sleeping, and fellows are few inbetween. So of course I feel like crap when I see my numbers in red. So that last thing I want to see are smart_ass comments being made.

The last 2 months have been hell. Viruses, account problems, computer probs, rape trial, huge case load, have unfortunately caused me to not be able to be at the computer.

We all no the consequences if we fail. And I would dare say we would all accept those consequences if we do. So the little jabs, smart_ass comments, and people other than managers making comments doesn't help.

With that said, I love this clan, but that subject has been eating away at me. I wish everyone would remember that most of us aren't in high school or college, we have spouses, children, work, and deal with the real world. Try to give us old farts a break

Ian when do you play ? I play euro times and generally at least 4 times a week go out to vod with a few others.

Xp varies but it certainly makes quota and more.

If you use IRC we can shout when were going and you could possibly join us.

Failing that there is the FC wth less quota req for when RL is more hectic than normal.

Interesting, but I don't remember seeing any smart __s comments by any other than managers

One comment I saw "Slacker Hunt" was an offer to help those failing and bring them in compliance! To me it was a gesture to help those having rl issues and enable them to get faster xp than they normally would.

You will be missed Ian! I will be loosing a close to full if not full 240 hours in game from vassal.

If there is any way we can keep ya under me, I will help ya catch up in xp. I'm guessing it would take approximately 1-2 buff cycles.

If life doesn't allow you to comply with rules and guidelines, move to an appropriate location in the chain untill things cool of in real life.

My "slacker lists" are intended to be humorous. Its just a game, and it wouldn't bother me if someone made a jab about me failing quota. If you're failing, its the managers job to point it out.

I like to point it out in a way that brings interest and humor, not to insult anyone, but to make it entertaining for people to read, hence ensuring that IT GETS READ.

Indeed we do all have circumstances that will cause all of us to fail from time to time. I own 2 video stores and now a bar. I work 73hrs a week every week. (At minimum, seriously) So I know that we all don't always have time for video games, trust me.

If you can't get caught up with quota, (the same load that EVERYONE in the chain must bear) then I fully expect that person to step up and have themselves removed until they can dedicate more time to keep up with the reqs. Im not particularly fond of people who let themselves get into a hole they can't get out of and then wait on the managers to take them out. It makes my job here harder, and as I said, Im a busy guy as it is. But that's just a personal rant I guess.

If I don't like it maybe I shouldn't be a manager. LOL

Anyhow, my point is, the OH is not for everyone, but this clan does try to offer something for everyone. If there is anyone in the chain who at any time feels like they can't keep up with the reqs for OH or FC, I invite you to request removal. Perhaps the Casual Chain would be a better fit.

Again, I know we all have trouble with real life and can not always dedicate the time to make chain reqs. But its my job as a manager to make sure the chain is productive, so its my duty to prod people into making quota and uploading and everything else that keeps them in compliance. At the end of the day, when I look at the chain list and see the failures and non-uploads, I understand their circumstances, but still ask myself this simple question: What if the entire chain looked like this group?

The answer is simple: The chain would fall apart.
Thats not gonna happen on my watch. So, with apologies to all who I may offend, I will continue to do my job.

I am anything but a slacker. RL has me working a lot and when I am not working I sleep. But October is the end of our busy season and we have already seen signs of this.

I only get to play AC on weekends (mostly) when I work like this. Last weekend I had to work on Saturday and was on for about 2 hours, twice on Sunday. Only hunted one of those times cause a long time friend came back to AC and we chatted about changes.

I am updated as of 10-16-03. I tried to play today, but the server was having problems. I checked ac vault and players on there were having same problems. It was this server only. I will be online here as soon as I get off work tomorrow and several hours during the weekend to catch up. This should not be that hard since I am only 1.75% away from quota.

I do apoligize for being off quota, but I just can't help it. During the rest of the Fall I will be getting it up to 5% over and maintaining that. In the Winter when work is dead slow my credit will be rather high.

All the work brought me the extra money for a new custom built computer!

Ok, here is the point that everyone is getting to. If you are that busy in the Summer, maybe it would be a good idea for you to be in the FC and then request to go up to OH.

As far as getting you caught up, if i could get on hehe, I'm game to do that!

Last night i requested a mage and got 5! Ack, i don't like large fellows at VOD. Look me up Aero, hope ya don't mind a little pusher action in your fellows

I was reading some posts on ac vault last night and copied an addess to log on with. It worked, but took awhile of short delays. Then started to buff for vod and halfway through the buffs the LINK starts to flash to red and in 30 seconds I am booted.

There is a serious problem with the server. Unless this problem is fixed, there is no way I can recover in your allotted time. The thing is whether you said anything about this or not, I had planned on playing a bunch this weekend, since the possibility of working on weekends again is rare now that winter is approaching.
