Locations of pusher fellowships

Post by Oof » Tue Jul 22, 2003 4:27 am

Hi all, :)

The list:

Trade Camel, on top of the VoD LS, for the region in the dires between the LS and including all of VoD. Also, The General is a new pusher who will be sharing the VoD LS.

Roogon X, aka Jamrahj, standing next to Brighteyes the Tailor in Tusker Town. Roogon any last name is still Roogon. This is for surface hunting on AL, and also is you would like to fellow for a fixed-XP tusk turn in.

Another BM, aka Oof, will be in the NW room of the markeplace, upstairs, for fellowships in the AL dungeons and also the Asheron's Island dungeons. Both sets of dungeon share XP fully with the marketplace.

More pusher fellows will be set up and announced as they are online.

There are no passwords set on these bots and no fellowship is started. Just find the bot and recruit it into your fellowship. If you see a fellowship has already been started with one of the bots, you can send the bot a /tell of leader to find out who the fellow leader is. By recruiting the bot yourself, you can add other people to the fellow as you have the opportunity. You can also drop the bot out of your fellow when you are ready, and still keep you fellowship going. Please make sure you tell any new fellow members there is a pusher in the fellow. We don't want people posting that we are trying to scam anyone.

We are asking everyone who is willing to please fellow with one of the pusher fellows for at least one buff cycle per week. THIS IS NOT MANDATORY. If a significant percentage of the chain will donate even one buff cycle per week to one of the pusher bots, it will result in hundreds of millions of XP being added near the bottom of the Food Chain. Most of that XP will be felt far up the chain, and much of it will be felt far up into the Order of Hyssop even. It will be a great benefit to the lower level characters in the Food Chain, but in order for it to work right we need a lot of participation from the chain members. I am planning to hunt Oof almost exclusively in one of the pusher fellows. I'm sure the other chain managers will donate more than one buff cycle per week to this effort.

We are hoping a lot of you will show some of your generosity and take advantage of this easy opportunity to give XP to the lowers in the chain, and help yourselves along the way. A long time ago we used to share pincers with the lowers as a way to encourage them; this has the potential for MUCH more XP to them, not to mention the fact that a lot of the XP will find it's way back up to you. Thank you very much for your time and participation in this effort. :)

P.S. :)

This morning Luang fellowed with Another BM when I was still really kind of testing him. At some point during the morning BM lost the server connection, but did pass up between 6 and 7 million XP to Borg before that happened. Thank you Luang, for getting this started! :)

You're welcome.

Hehe, Ac, if someone fails quota because they have too much XP coming in, that's something we can deal with. ;)

Seriously, though, it is possible a sudden increase in XP coming in would cause someone to fail before they had a chance to respond to it, especially if it happened to be someone who only gets to play on the weekend. In a case like that, we would treat it in the same way we treat someone who tells us they are going on vacation for a few days. They get some time to make up the extra XP. And with the amount of XP it would take to cause someone to fail badly, they should have quite the pile of XP to spend in order to hone their stats. That should, in turn, make them better able to hunt and make up any quota deficit.

Bottom line: You can make Borg fail from having too much XP any time you want!

Wow.

I just read a post on VNBoards that all mansion dungeons are also within share range of Aphus Lassel dungeons! Definitely going to have to test this tonight. It will cut down on the spam my bot gets from Marketplace patrons and also eliminate most griefing possibilities.

Wow, that would be something nice, to be able to host our fellow within our very own mansion walls. If anyone were to grief the bots then, we could have a talk with that Panzerfaust guy.

Subway seems to be 10 clicks from ML.

Hmm, if I remember right, at 10 clicks, there is little or no loss of XP?

Yesterday, about 40 million was passed up into Borg. 93.75% of that went up into the chain. Thanks to everyone who hunted with the different fellows (probably still only a very few people hunting, but this is a great start!).

A special thanks to Acaddict who fellowed with Another BM just as I logged him back in from a server disconnect. Ac and a couple of his friends put 27 million to Another BM in the fellow, and he passes up about 40% of that.

And, yes, this is a continued plea for everyone to donate a buff cycle per week to one of the pusher fellows. ;) If we can get people into the habit of doing that, everyone will see a big increase in the chain output. And that's a good thing. :)

Umm yeah, that fellow is CRANKING!

I tried to find Riyadh last night, but it looks like he wasn't online when I was, but I'll keep trying, because the salvage on Aerlinthe is pretty good.

Sarick (in Marketplace) isn't being used yet. I'm wondering if he's still just too out of the way, or people forget, or don't know about him, or if people prefer to join the localized dungeon fellowships instead of locking themselves into a Marketplace fellow? Feedback, anyone?

is this open to anyone who wants to tag up with the pusher then go hunt, even if not in the Food Chain?

I usually hunt solo in the area, but not right in VoD. Just wondering as I can also help out a bit . . .

Cheers.

Yes, anyone who wants to fellow with these bots is welcome to do so.

I donate a buff cycle or two every now and then. Im trying to test something out of marketplace right now but Poddy's guy isn't on.

Pod, if you see this get your guy up and post here. Im trying to test the Asheron's Isle olthoi dungeons with the Market landblock.
