Question about eventual CC->FC transition
Question for the Chain Managers:
Griffmar was inserted into the Casual Chain a few days ago. This is the first time I've been in a chain, and as I have time demands in the form of job and family, I wanted to prove to myself and to the chains that I could hack the XP quota necessary to live in the Food Chain prior to applying. I do hunt in spurts, but overall I think I get plenty of XP in a given week to satisfy either of the Casual or Food chains.
So I've installed ACStats, and am thinking much more about XP returns than my previous haphazard approach, and got into the Casual Chain, which has been a very good experience so far.
I've been encouraged to enter the Food Chain, and I'm interested in the higher rate of return once it is felt I'm ready. My question for the chain managers is, when do you feel that is?
After 21 days in the CC, earning enough XP to have satisfied quota in the FC? Or some other criteria, like XP earned or levels gained?
Thanks!

No need to apologize at all, Ac. I'm feeling very invigorated about the game, getting to understand the chain mechanics, meeting new folks in the monarchy, very cool stuff. The desire to make quota and keep up with or move up in the chain has lit a fire under my posterior, so to speak.
I've been cranking through much of the game on my own, partially because my RL obligations make me miss a lot of good quests and fellows, but also cuz I'm just an independent cuss.
I'm glad you encouraged me to try the chains in the first place, I just wish I'd done it even sooner. Even just doing chain moves I've met some cool folks I wouldn't have otherwise. As the recruiting blurb promises, the chain is helping me capitalize on game mechanics to increase my gaming pleasure.

Logon time can be a problem, I miss a ton of quests and good fellows cuz I log on 30-60 minutes too late, PST. *Sigh* If it was just meal-time that was the issue, that would be easy, but no: it's my kids' bedtime that dictates my playing time. Playing AC while they are awake is like solo'ing 2 grouchy Tremendous Monougas while debuffed and using the wrong weapon in your off-hand.
It's a losing battle.
But hey, once I get in the Food Chain, I'm under you again.... So I can count on you to sponsor my membership, it seems?
Thanks Ac!

And I don't think making quota will really be an issue. After 5 days, I'm just barely under the 21 day quota for FC of 18M. I'll hang in there a bit longer, probably until L100, then most likely submit my app for FC.
FC managers, if you prefer to have me wait the full 21 days before allowing the move, I will certainly understand.

Griffmar, I'm not sure what the preference is of the Casual Chain managers regarding length of stay before moving, so you might post something in the Casual Chain forum about that.
From a Food Chain perspective, you are welcome to join whenever you want. Dave's suggestion for the 21 days was simply an easy way for you to judge whether you can meet the quota requirements of the Food Chain. You already seem comfortable with doing that.
The mechanics for transitioning into the Food Chain is simply posting for removal from the Casual Chain and posting for inclusion in the Food Chain. As soon as you have been cleared from the Casual Chain, we will post insertion orders for you.

Hmmm, I thought I replied to your latest inquiery Griff, but I think the boards were having trouble earlier today and ate my post.
Anyway, I was basically saying what Oof said: That my earlier advice of waiting 21 days was more for your benefit than it was for our accepting you into the chain. Once you're confident that you can meet quota, and when you meet all our other reqs (loyalty, vassals, being on ACStats, etc), you are free to apply (and likely be accepted) at that time.

Thanks guys, you were being clear. My response was just a statement of intent to let you know where I was headed, and having a fun conversation with Acaddict.
I'll have a talk with the Casual Chain mgrs, as I don't want to cause any trouble for them in the least. When I and they feel comfortable with the move, I'll make the appropriate requests. Thanks for all your help.
