Question about the chain
I hear that once i am placed i am stuck there. That i cant be moved higher. I was told by a chain admin that everyone is inserted based on being 126. This isnt the norm for chains. All chains i have seen have inserted you based on your true level. I am a 156 mage under a 130 archer.
My question is this, Is there movements in the chain based on level. I dont want to be in a chain where i am stuck at the same spot for ever. I level quick and earn alot of Xp. I am not going to do this and let it go to waste while i recieve minimal XP for my efforts.

What you need to understand first is that this is not an xp chain. Well it is, but it's not just about getting xp. It's about loyaty to the clan. LDers don't really care about xp or at least that's not our focus or main concern.
There is a promotion policy that is being talked about right now, but I wouldn't join this chain thinking that you can get promoted often or even enough to make it worth your while.
Just overall this is a relaxed and groovy chain with really cool and relaxed chain admins that are willing to work with you if there is a problem. If you are looking for a turbo chain (aka 50 mil an hour) you might want to check out LSD. Good luck in choosing the type of chain style you're interested in.

To add to what Downy said, no, you will not be stuck at your slot in the chain. Yes, we add people in according to the 126th level, in the interest of protecting our loyal chain members. LSD does this too, so does Evil leet and Firtle. In fact, I don't know of a chain that does not handle 126 insertions in this manner.
When you posted your application, you acknowledged that you read the rules and policy. If you had honestly read that policy, you would have seen that you would be inserted at level 126.

We are, as we speak. Working on a promotion policy that is fair to both loyal chain members and high producing recruits. To contradict what Downy said, it will be worth your time, if it is something you truly seek.To quote the policy wrote: Recruitment
The Food Chain is currently recruiting between the levels of 75 and 126. Individuals interested in joining a chain under level 75 are encouraged to join our Casual Chain. For more information about all of the Last Dynasty's Chains please read our Recruiting page. Applicants over level 120 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
New applicants from outside the clan who are 126+ will be placed under the lowest 126 in the chain. A maximum of two characters per player may be a part of the Food Chain at any given time. Our chain is not for everyone: we have higher standards that we expect everyone to follow, standards which may not be preferable to some players. For more information please see the Food Chain Application .
I'm sorry you feel you were falsely advertised to. In our recruitment post on the VNBoards, we make it clear that we run our chain a certain way, and that that way may not be approved by all potential applicants.Stampy's Revenge wrote: if its so relaxed and its all about devotion to LD then there shouldnt be outside recruitment going on,

Ok, let me take the first stab at this. Hopefully this will clear some things up for you: (EDIT: Wow you guys are fast. Fine. Let me be the third to take a stab at this.)
First off, most chains do not, in fact insert 126+ members at their true level. I don't know of a major chain that does this. Firtle doesn't, LSD doesn't and we don't. Thats the big three right there. Now from what I gather about the LSD chain, you can pretty much be inserted where ever the hell LSD wants you to go depending on how much he likes you, what you contribute to the chain, and how good you are at kissing his a$$.
(kidding) ...or am I?
Anyway, the point is most chains insert new members under their lowest 126.
Now let me explain what's different about us:
We have 3 chains. Casual, Food, and Order of Hyssop.
The Casual Chain is for casual hunters and lower lvl characters.
The Order of Hyssop is a 126+ chain open to clan members only. You must be a member of the clan for a minumum of three weeks to get in.
You are in the Food Chain. All new applicants to the clan who want in a chain must start out in the Casual or Food. In three weeks if you can manage to passup 12million+ xp per week, you will be able to be inserted into the Order of Hyssop.
This is a promotion of sorts because you will be removed from the Food Chain and inserted at the bottom of the Order of Hyssop. The Order of Hyssop has the entire Food Chain sworn under it. So by entering the Order, you will effectively advance above the Food Chain. In real terms, if you look on the chain page, you will advance above Borealiz, our highest lvl Food Chain member.
Once you are in the Order of Hyssop can you still advance? Yes.
We are currently working on a performance based advancement policy for the Order. We will notify the chain once the policy is agreed upon and in place.

I don't need to answer this one because both Dave and Heatmiser were working on it at about the same time, looks like.
Rebirth, in case you didn't notice, it says Chain Manager above both of their avatars. Both can speak authoritatively for chain matters. The other chain managers are Phade and myself. I can usually be found ingame as either Oof or Borg.
Feel free to post here, contact any of us ingame, or, maybe the best way, send one of us a PM. I know for me at least, a PM will trigger an email to me so you might get a faster response to any question you may have.

Well i hope no one took offense to anything i Posted. I am new to chains and it just crossed me as odd. I will give the chain and chance and if it doesnt work out then we cna part our seperate ways. Not fair to pass judgement without giving it a chaince first. I will see how things work out. Thanks for the quick responses.

Xp
Well, this chain is about xp somewhat..........We have been promoting spending xp on loyalty quite extremely. I recieve approximately 100 million per day in pass-up (not all from chain). These guys rock (as in the managers and admins), very much worth your time to give it a while and see!
Don't expect to get awesome xp from the bottom of the Order. It will take you about 1 month after being in the order to see the xp start rolling in as new inserts come under ya.
Off the subject, if you are a mage and want awesome xp, hunt with me LMAO!!! Add me to yur friends list, i need 2 billion xp fast haha!

LOL, yes, someone please help Phade on figuring out how to offend me. People who live at Cragstone Mage shot appt#2 probably don't pay enough attention to details to able to pick out the things that offend me.
