If anybody deserves Addict's exp's, its the bottom 126! This guy pushes so much exp's he should be the one man PUSHER! Just think at all the exp's everyone would get!

All joking aside, I have big issues with a level 157 being promoted to the very top of the chain! I know, I know. I'm an A HOLE! Ah well. I've got no push, so I wouldn't worry about it too much Addict.

Great Numbers though! And I thank you for the exp's

Is there a cap on how many people you can pass up in the chain to get to the top if you meet promotion criteria?

First off, we need to settle on promotion criteria. So far what we thought about has met resistance from one group of players or another. No one is moving up anywhere until after we settle on a policy. We know a promotion policy is important to the chain members. As I've stated before, my preference would be that people don't move, except in rare, exceptional cases because it wrecks the loyalty bonus. (I will support a promotion policy because it's what the clan wants.

) The only viable reason to move up is because of ego (and I'm not saying that's a bad thing, don't get me wrong). In a long-term view of the chain, everyone will realize far more XP if people will max their loyalty bonus and then hunt as hard as they hunt now (or even harder

). There will be a natural move up as more people are added under the chain. There will be promotions as people earn promotions (but we still have to come up with a good policy).

People have been talking a lot about promotions lately, and I think Acaddict has earned a promotion more than anyone I'm aware of. He keeps a higher passup percentage than practically anyone else in the chain, and does it without even the question being raised of him macroing (because it IS against the clan and game CoC and a promotion should not be granted to someone if they are macroing for percentage). We don't have viable promotion policy in place, and promotions for the Order of Hyssop are more complicated than for the Food Chain, since we have such a wide range of players. I will try to have a final draft policy agreed upon by the managers by the end of this week, but no promises.

Promotions are much more an emotional issue than a common event. There were very few promotions last year within the Food Chain, and the Food Chain will, by it's nature, have more promotions than the Order of Hyssop.

If i could be Devil's Advocate here...........

We talk bout how AC deserves to be promoted more than anyone in the chain, due to his numbers, and how nobody mentions UCM'd etc. because its against COC, etc etc.

Lets go back a bit, in Food Chain history shall we? lets talk about Gimped Mage..........I dont' need to say anymore, cause anybody who's been around long enough knows where this conversation could go. And lets be honest here, He macro'd. (different time, different situation, I know)

Again, I agree with you, Its more an ego thing, than really common sense, and its a VERY emotional subject to say the least. We've had chain jumpers come, and go. Again, thats another total topic.

I suppose I might take it to heart a lot more than most, Since I started in the foodchain when I was a mere level 44. And I suppose its been a goal of mine to eventually work my way up, and I know for a fact I've NEVER requested a move up in chain, no matter who my patron was, and by howmany levels I've surpassed him. NEVER!

Its a HUGE ego trip. Make no mistake about it. As for your numbers counting as who deserves to move up, and who doesn't? I find that could be a touchie subject. Lets face it, people like Thray, Urrasa, Trekman the Axeman, The Merciful, Coji, Con Artist, I B, just to name a few, all work their keisters off no doubt, or have been with the chain FOREVER.

None of them complain as to were they are stationed in the chain.

Now I know the new implementation of the OH, has really given things quite a shake, and how your actual level doesn't mean jack when it comes to positioning, or moving up.

Again, this isn't a personal attack on Acaddict. or anybody else who has the time to play that much. Cause everybody knows that nobody AFK Macro's anymore.

I suppose i'm just old school a bit, and long for the days where your level actuallymeant something in a monarchy, or chain that you've sworn allegiance to, and have stayed loyal to.

Don't mean to start a flame fest, Opinions are like assholes...........and Everybody has got one. I don't know Acaddict, and I dont' know how long they've been with Youkay/Panzerfaust. Maybe longer than I've been here. Its truely nothing personal.

Whatever the chain managers decide, I'll have to respect it. and for the record, I still think "The Order of Hyssop and Trout" is a TERRIBLE name for the most elite experience chain on the server, from the largest monarchy on the server, from a rank 10 club! True Royalty on Solclaim.
