Why is the Casual Chain under Dezayn and not the lowest 126?

Somebody asked me this and I think its a good question.
Seems a much better place for it would be down low where it can help the most people.
Comments?

Yea, I think that is a good thought. (no offense to Dez, since I think hes the casual chain manager)
But what if???
Of course, it might not be worth it to place it as such. Harder to look after perhaps? No clue. but it was a good point.

The Casual Chain wasn't really the Casual Chain when it started. When Dezayn joined LD a long time ago, he already had a small(?) chain of followers who wanted to stay sworn to him but didn't want a rigid XP quota. The Casual Chain just kind of grew from there as I recall. No one ever asked much about it before (of course, Dezayn was much lower level then). One thing to keep in mind, the Casual Chain isn't technically a feeder chain for the Food Chain, it is its own separate chain. Back when we had two chains before, each chain was tied to the monarch, or a monarch's mule, above the top of the Food Chain. If the Casual Chain was a feeder chain, it should be tied to the bottom of the Food Chain, or as close as it can get. If the Casual Chain was, and always had been, a separate chain, it should be tied to the monarch like before. Since it is neither, it stayed where it started and evolved from a group of Dezyan's followers into the Casual Chain, and is kind of a compromise between the two types of chains now: neither a feeder chain nor a truly separate chain.
Anyway, that's the story on it as I recall.

So it'd be OK for other people to start a chain, and add like Rank and stuff then?

if you have followers of your own, we don't make you boot them before joining, this is the same thing only bigger..
and I gotta tell ya.. I have followers under phade that make me twice the xp the food chain makes, so I don't see it as a big deal

...and yet when I proposed making a buff bot for a re-roll chain a few months ago I was told not to because it would interfere with the casual chain. I accepted that and dropped the idea even though a lot of people liked it.
The casual chain is an official chain now. Perhaps its time to place it under the lowest 126? Seems fair, given what its become. Any thoughts?

Seems like a fair idea Heat....I think you might want to start a seperate post on the topic though if it's something you want everyone to discuss.

Well, I agree with you heat.
Of course, nobody could force anybody to leave Dez!
But people who aren't Dez's vassals who just joined the casual chain to be in a casual type chain, with an LD tag...
Seems the most benefit to the entire monarchy would be to have it under the lowest 126.

Seems fair to me as well.

why the lowest 126?
first off I don't see a problem with it staying where its always been, second if for some reason it moved why wouldn't it just to to the monarch or the monrch's mule like this chain.. moving it around all the time would be irritating to say the least

We would not have to move it EVERY time a new 126 is made. Just every once in awhile. That way it would benefit lower lvl guys in this chain, and pass xp up through more players in this chain.
Why the lowest 126? No brainer there. Because the casual chain can and does have 126s in it. Just seems fair to me. Like Lag, I realize it started as Dez's vassals, but since then, that really not the case anymore. Its an official chain. Official enough for me to be told not to make a re-roll chain even though there was at least 11 people who wanted to do it. It just seems fair to me.

Well, its really up to the casual chain admins, where they want to go with it.
