What in the Blue hell is going on? (Chain managers) Ranger

Guys, I'm iffy about the new quota board. I played my arse off last night to make a few exps and get a boost in my quota for the up comign week end, and i uploaded last night (BOOM -----133%)

Then I check the foochain quota page today (not even 24 hours later) and I'm at 104%? HELLO? whats going on? QUota just doesn't disappear like that does it? I made 90 million gross exp's last night. plus like 40-60 million everyday this week. (since sunday)

Ranger I know you worked really hard on this chart. It looks awesome but we still haven't found out what many of these things mean. XP to cap? I'm just wondering about that, cause I can be at 130 %, and someone else is at 100% and they ahve a higher number there than me? Is this normal>? What do they all mean.

I'm so not busting anybody's chops here, but I went from being 165% quota last week to a 98% fail in about a day, (without uploading) SO what does this depend on?

Its been a little while, I'd love to find out what the numbers all mean, and where has my quota gone to???

ANYBODY PLEASE HELP!

Thorgrim

Actually Thorgirm, it can drop like that. Ranger can look at the data, but this is how it can happen:

The quota is 21 days cumulatively.

The following example is just that, an example.

The numbers have no calcuation value at all. Just an example :)

Day 1 150%
Day 2 - no hunt
Day 3 - no hunt
Day 4 - no hunt
Day 5 - no hunt
... Hunting periodically
Day 19 - 130%
Day 20 - 125%
Day 21 - 140%

Now, on the 22nd day, Day #1 is gone.

That's how it can take dive like that.

This person has 4 days in a row with no additional XP which adds up when you take away the initial data point.

Rnager can look at the data to see what happened, but this happens frequently when someone takes a few days off in a row.

Thanks High King for the info. but I would appreciate it if Ranger did take a gander at the info. The odd thing to me, is the 133% last night, and the 104% today. Its driving me nutz. hehe.

But I have to admit, I usually take friday and Saturday off (spend time with my family of course) But I do understand what your saying. But what do the other numbers mean?

Thanks again,
Thorgrim

I'll go ahead and post a temporary answer here until Ranger gets a chance to post something (or maybe just corrections to what I post).

Name, Level, and Status I'll skip, because if people can't figure those out...

% Passed The total percentage of XP passed up from you to your chain patron during the reporting period. This is based on an assumed maximum automatic passthrough rate of 93.75%, so a % Passed of 100.25% means you have passed up the maximum amount of XP you can automatically passup, plus you have added another 7% XP through your own hunting efforts.

#Days The number of days used for calculation purposes, based on a rolling 21 day windows. This may not always show 21 days because of changes to vassal, days someone goes without hunting, etc. The #Days will start with the most current upload date for a character, and go back to the oldest upload date for that character in the reporting period.

Start Date: The oldest upload date for a character in the most recent 21 day period.

End Date: The most recent upload date for a character in the most recent 21 day period.

XP Cap How much XP you have to add to the XP you get from your chain vassal. This is XP you add through your own hunting efforts, pincer turn-ins, etc. (but not tusk turn-ins, that XP doesn't go to your patron)

XP deficient The amount of XP you were supposed to have added through your own efforts, but didn't. This column should ideally always show 0.

XP Req. to Push This is best answered with a quote from Ranger
XP Req. to Push

It is the total amount of XP (from chain vassal + your individual contribution) that you are required to have pushed to your chain patron in the given calculated time period.

The total amount pushed up to chain patron must be equal to or greater to pass.
I hope this helps explain the chain page. :)

The moral of the story is:
MAKE XP ALL DAY EVERYDAY!

Math makes my head hurt too, this is the way I look at it,

if it says failed it shows you how much you need to make, I go out and make 5x the amount it lists for quota and then upload, blamo passed.

not sure what amount to push means so I ignore it.

Quota shows quota to date, shows how much you should have pushed if you were at 100% all the time.. I think?
