hmmmm....I have 2 extra skill credits and haven't decided what direction I gonna go with skill swapping yet....might just take that loyalty up to specialized for a bit...

Oh so its a competition of loyalty huh? Mine is trained but now 230/281. Cost 12.7 mil. Guess I can bump it a bit since bow cost over 100 mil

Hehe, this beats a pharming competition anyway:) DL, that's a great idea since you can always unspec it and get all of the XP you will put into it anyway, whenever you decide what you want to do.

Your passup = 8.8% + another 7% per 100 points. So, with 200 Loyalty, you're gonna be passing 22.8%...with close to 300 loyalty, you're looking at around 30%.

Then, a modifier is added to your Loyalty, equal to 1% per 2.4 hours sworn to your current patron, capping at 100% with 240 hours sworn.

So, it's conceivable that if you play a lot, you could have over 400 effective loyalty, passing up 40% of what you hunt. Which is insane.

What Stargren said is right, just keep in mind that many people in the Food Chain and the Order of Hyssop have a loyalty skill that buffs much higher than 200.

It's hard to say how much loyalty is enough, other than having a minimum of a buffed value of 200 (that's the amount required to max vassal XP pass through).

A lot of us are approaching a buffed loyalty skill of 300, and some are already there.

You get 8.9% XP pass up with zero loyalty.
You get 7% XP pass up extra with each 100 points of buffed loyalty.
You get a 100% bonus, of your buffed loyalty skill, at 240 hours ingame time sworn to your patron.

So, with a maxed loyalty bonus and 300 buffed loyalty skill, you get an effective buffed loyalty skill of 600, giving you:

8.9% + (7% x 6), or

8.9% + 42% = 50.9%, according to the essay from Crossroads of Dereth

It takes a lot of XP to reach 300 loyalty, but if your vassal also raises their loyalty, you'll get back the XP your spent, and then some.

I tried specializing Loyalty 2 days ago and it said I had too many skill credits invested and to try unspec'ing. What's up with that? 28 spec points
