There's no discord among the managers, I just didn't want people thinking that Gimped saw a chain advertising "XP, 25% off today! Get it while you can!" and jumped immediately to another chain.

The fact is that some of our clan members left who had been here for a long time. Long time or short, they left the clan. The fact is that we have 126+ characters who are coming in from outside of the clan and wanting to join LD's XP chains. The only way to be fair is to apply the policy evenly.

I guess sometimes you have to be a little blunt to not be misunderstood.

I agree that the same rule should apply to all. If you leave the clan for whatever reason then you should be put at the bottom of the lowest 126 person in the chain.

Although we have been following a policy of inserting new 126+ members under the lowest 126 in the chain, its also true that we did not clearly post this policy anywhere.

For that I apologize, for myself and on behalf of the management team. We dropped the ball on that one. We should have posted the policy. At this point however, all I can offer is a sincere apology to anyone who didn't know. We are only human (humans who have jobs and lives outside this game) so sometimes we are gonna screw up. This isn't the first time, and Im sure it won't be the last. We do have the best interest of the chain in our hearts and we do try our best to keep things running smoothly. This policy, although unwritten has been in effect for some time and we are not going back on it now. It just wouldn't be fair. Again, Im sorry for not posting the policy.

I would like to throw in my two cents...

First, I think the policy, as revised (being xp based instead of strictly level based) is fair.

Secondly, although it would stink to be in Gimped Mage's position and to be near the very top of the chain, leave, then come back and be at the bottom of the 126's....but the policy overall is fair to everyone in general. As stated above, it also serves as a deterent to others thinking about shifting chains, thinking they always have LD to fall back on if the new chain doesn't work out (I realize Gimp that this was not you case).

However, I think this is the best chain on Solclaim. Granted, our xp gains may not be the highest, but I am guessing we are still one of the highest. The Food Chain and LD offer so many other intangables such as stability, dependability, and efficiency. Being a part of this chain is a great priviledge, and that is why people continue to flock to our chain.

Actually i was not that near the top when i left . I was supposed to have been but i was not moved for months when i should of been .

Me start and baz have been long time members of this clan and chain . We deserve more than "Get to the back of the line scum" This is wrong .

Some say what we did was mistake if so where is your compassion at ?

You seem to want us to grovel and punish us . Where is the dignity in that?

We gave to the clan we gave to the chain more than alot of others beyond the call of duty . And to be treated like outcasts .. where is the honor in that ?

I follow my patron .. Its called loyalty . He will not stay here because he feels he was slapped in the face and wronged against . I Dont blame him one bit for feeling this way . I know i do . I want to stay because i still have hope for this clan and loyalty to it.

What is happnening here is sad and wrong . I am gonna try to correct this and bring some honor, integrity and compassion back ........

I want to offer my experience to chain , it seems thats what is big here . I want to be sworn to the bottom of the 126 and stay there . even if somebody else comes . I will stay as low as you can get me in that chain . if somebody turns 126 i will go below them . In other words i will becoeme a permenant anchor to 126 's . Considering My exp passup when i am in chain, this is one heck of an offer.

In return I would like starting over and bazil to placed where they deserve . At least starting over at the very least . We have given so much much to this chain and clan they do not deserve to be treated like we have.

I do not know why i keep hoping this clan will show some honor and integrity and compassion even tho i have been trangressed against a few times. I keep hoping tho.

I do not make this offer for myself but for my patron and friend they are being wronged against and i am hoping to correct this wrong . They are truely hurt by this and it makes me sad that my clan has treated them such .

I have nothing else left to offer but my exp and clan support that i have always provided . And even still have provided while going through this.

Also maybe this lesson and example i am showing here will teach the chain / clan what honor , inegrity and compassion are truely about.

Remeber what this clan used to be about . i know i do.

Falling on the sword for the sake of your friends.

Personally Im not out to punish anyone. Im just applying a chain policy that we have already used to insert new 126s. This is being done in the interests of fairness. I've already stated that. At this point you can accept my word at face value or not. We just can't go back now and play favorites after inserting new players using the 126+ policy. It just wouldn't be fair to them. Im sorry. This has nothing to do with honor as far as Im concerned. In fact, I am showing integrity by sticking to our rules. Truth is, I would love to put all you guys back at your real lvl spots, but as I've said repeatedly, that would violate chain policy and be unfair to everyone who was placed using that policy.

If you decide you do not want to return to the chain or clan, I will understand. Best of luck to all of you, gentlemen.

The funniest thing about all this is that Gimped mage doesn't really give a damn about the xp, its the principle of the thing. The fact that absolutely no credit or appreciation is being shown for any past efforts. Gimps has more then earned any spot in this chain.

You all keep saying ... its not about you Gimps it the other peeps .... we not talking about you personally .... its in general .... but of course that's not gonna stop us from screwing you around AGAIN ... HA HA.

As for this arguement about 'fairness'. There is a big difference between 'equality' and 'equity'. A society built on rigid, strict and inflexible rules indiscriminately applied to all situations may ... I say may, be able to achieve some semblance of equality but will never find equity.

Only a society based on principles .... principles applied with consideration, thoughtfulness, and compassion can ever hope to reach towards that far more lofty goal of equity.

"Gimps has more then earned any spot in this "

And that is what we are offering. A spot.

Hey Dave .... would this be the same type of placement you were given upon your very recent return to LD .... from another clan??? After leaving for personal reasons.

If so then right on dude ... what the hell is everyone arguing about .... that is totally fair and equitable.

Does that mean i am to be placed higher than where i am being placed now?

"Those circumstances are different than leaving Saru" Quote Panzerfaust

Steelhead is currently my patron, and 1 lvl higher than me, shall i just remain there?
