Litl, if you fellow with the VoD pusher, all of the creatures in VoD and the creatures in the dires for several clicks around the VoD lifestone all pass back 100% of the XP to the fellow. Panzer and I were testing it a while back and we fellowed with the pusher there, then one of portaled to Inculcation Cells and hunted, and nearly all of that XP was passing back too. So yes, anywhere at all for a number of clicks out from the LS will still pass back full XP.

As more participation builds up in the pusher program we can run multiple pushers in different placers, or multiple pushers at the VoD LS is needed too. Maybe one for the VoD hunters, and another for hunting in the dires areas around the LS.

I just ran some numbers, playing around a little bit. There are currently 92 members in the chain (either Food or OH). Here's what I did:

I assumed ONE buff cycle per week, per person. I assumed an average XP of 10 million per hour for that buff cycle (I realize some will earn less than 10 million, but some will earn much more). In a two-person fellowship, each person gets 75% if I recall correctly. I also assumed a 37% passup rate from the pusher. The passup rate will probably be higher than that; however, the last time I calculated Another BM's passup it was 37%. I believe he might have had a few more hours to go in order to max his loyalty bonus.

Here are the numbers:

For one person hunting for one hour: they earn a gross 10 million. Each fellow member's share will be 7.5 million. Multiply that times the 92 people in the chain and the pusher will pass up 255,300,000 XP into the bottom person in the chain. By the time that goes up to Oof (currently #4 in the OH) that XP is reduced to 872K, but that's okay because it went through about 90 people to get there. The total cumulative XP that will have been put into the chain from one buff cycle per person is a little over 4 billion XP for that week!

Keep in mind, the bottom person will get 255+ million from the pusher. The next person up will get 239+ million, the next 224+ million, etc.

I'll try to work up better numbers later, but keep in mind some people already hunt much more than one buff cycle per week, and as pusher activity rises other people will begin to also. A strong pusher program is THE single best way to inject massive amounts of XP into the chains.

people seem to drag up to the hill above the LS and get him killed, don;t know if intentional or not.......... some time I know it is though :-(

all sorted now though

Grr, I'm not sure what we can do to change that. The whole time I had Another BM on the LS, he never died, but then I don't remember seeing Lugians either. :(

One thing for sure, do not leave The General running on the LS or logged out at the LS for Thursday's patch. There's no telling yet where bugs will pop up, but the devs are making it sound like it's going to be ugly. :D

Dragging

Post by acaddict » Thu Sep 18, 2003 1:02 am

I must admit, i drug some stuff on the general the other day  I did not allow him to die though and after i cleared the crap, i buffed him with life magic and a few melee buffs LOL. Now i try to make it a point to buff him every time i see him at the ls.

The best thing would be to find an easy to get spot for him to pearch and give out those coords to the clan....I will look around the area tonight!

Does The General have Arcane? If so, how high is it? I have some level 6 jewelry and clothing laying around. Some Armor VI and Bludgeon Prot VI stuff might be enough to keep him alive.

He does - although as of today (when patch is ready) - he'll have life magic - woohoo!

Thanks for fellowing with him guys - and especially for Widow-Mage, for running him while I've been sunning myself in Aruba :D

Cheers,

DB
