Decided to make a change

Post by Aero » Mon Oct 20, 2003 11:22 pm

I've been thinking about this for a while and now that I am on the tip of losing my place in the chain, the time to change is now.

Asheron's Call is a great game that I have enjoyed for almost four years. With the introduction of macros and chains a lot of the fun has left. No longer do I feel like this is fun. Its more like work that I have to do just to hold my place in line. When my work isn't good enough, threats of getting bumped out of line only makes things worse.

When I come online to play, everyone on my full friend's list is not online 90% of the time. Ac is a co-op game to be played with your friends. Playing solo can be fun too, but not all the time. My old clan used to do three to four quests a week. We would look forward to them. Now its just Xp, Xp, Xp!

Well that ends here. From now on Asheron's Call will be fun for me and getting more Xp doesn't matter. Aero is level 160+ and that is pretty damn high. A lot of fun can be had with this character.

I formally request that I be taken out of the "Order of Hyssop" chain. However, I do want to help the clan as always and wish to be put in the "Casual" chain to aid the many that have helped me to reach this level. Maintaining quota here is as easy as breathing with a base loyalty of 235 and the millions I produce just having fun. It would be appreciated to be put somewhere above the rank mule, if possible, so I can still use my high rank items.

In the sidelines, some of my free time will also be spent with swg (I am a Bounty Hunter there) and possibly Middle Earth when it is released.

Thanks for your understanding. I hope I have not caused you too much hardache with the quota problems due to my long hours at my RL job this summer.

It hasn't been a problem at all for anything Aero. :) We'll certainly remove you per your request (like we could refuse anyway lol). If you decide you need your crack, err XP, addiction fed again, you'll always welcome back. I suspect you'll be having too much fun in the CC though. :D

I'll post orders for you shortly, and thank you for all of the contributions you've made to your chainmates (I won't say clanmates since you'll still be contributing to us anyway).

I know exactly how you feel bro. Xp is great, but I hate feeling like I have to play and make xp. Just want to have fun (just asked to be removed myself). Give me a yell sometime in game and we can go slay some big baddies.

Aero,

I'm goin to miss you a great deal. Your the only chain patron I've had that hunted with me and with did some awsome vod fellows. I do hope you place me in your friends list, cause I will be adding you to mine. My patron that I have outside of the chain, taught me everything that I wanted to know and then some. He to has been caught up in R/L issues that has taken him from the game. Believe me I spent a great deal of time with him and consider him a good friend in R/L now.

Aero I hope we don't become stangers and I thank you MUCH for spending time with me in VoD and basically teaching me how to hunt there.

Sheesh now I've got to train another patron!

Olo, you and Rath have always been on my friend's list. I'm not going anywhere. I will still be on as little as I have lately, hehe. As the cold weather hits, it will free up more time to be spent online.

However I have started to play on SWG and I'm liking it. My character there is a Bounty Hunter. Pretty cool and definately different than just hunting creatures, although I can do that as well. Soon I will be using probe droids that move around the landscape looking for my mark. These are globe shaped robots that hover above the ground. When they locate my mark, I close in for the kill. I am also a creature handler on a smaller scale, but I've got 4 pets with 5,500 hp's each. They keep my mark busy while I blast them with a lightning cannon. Each hit does 2600-3200 damage. The npcs that I kill are like the creatures here at vod. Very high hp's. Next major patch I will be able to use my pets as a mount and get to my prey much faster. The speeders and bikes are also on the way.

PS If you ever try swg, my name is Lycos

Server: Tarquinas
Planet: Tattooine
City: Mos Eisley

I have been to 6 of the planets so far, but Tattooine is my home planet for the moment.

Two of the other clansman from our clan have joined me already. One is a Master Creature Handler and working on Master Medic.

I'm certain that around Christmas time a certain boy of mine, just might...I mean might have a game called SWG!! We've been talkin bout in a lot. Now we need to figure out how to do both and convince me wife on how important it is to keep up on important developments in the gaming world!
