We have the 3 best Axers on Solclaim (the 3 best characters even:D ) in the clan, I think among the three of us we have enough sings to buy stuff like that
(asuming Thor and Trek have any sings, cuz I sure don't
)

The boards just make me too angry so I stop going there. (just so I don't get banned for typing what I really think about the people there).
Macroed characters buying items with macroed sings really make me puke. Besides that I did not win an auction where I bid buyout which really pissed me off
The main reason I checked VN was for trading and that's pretty much dead for me. Since Turbine and a few screamers on the boards killed the small economy, trading has been really bad, but people just cannot get it smacked in their heads that the small economy was the most stable and sensible one we ever had, so things won't go back to the old situation, too bad. Sings are in no way a replacement for smalls, especially now they are macroed en masse.

I don't read VNBoards either (same reasons as Naus). I do not attend auctions - trading/auctioning had been too annoying for me even in the old days of a working economy (tried a few, started a few).
Hence I don't collect any tradeables - no sings, no granites, no........only a few plats.
The axe looks really good though - nevertheless I cannot convince myself to start trading now at level 189
