Is this any good - even with the high work

BS/2: (Major) Silver War Hammer, (10) craft, 15,5-31 +13m/+11a, Blood Drinker V, Major Defender, Coordination Self V, Heart Seeker VI, Diff. 129, Axe 325+ to wield, Value 13.351, 436BU

Its a nice hammer.but without being able to tinker it, its as usefull as a major UA shield (gharu only)

Sell it to the shops.

I wouldn't sell it just yet.....

First, it would make a great Melee D weapon for any axe toon. Granted, you will not get many tinks on it, but you can still get a few. It may not do as much damage as an imbued tinkered hammer, but this hammer would really improve your melee d, perhaps allowing you to fight some nasty bugs that otherwise you might not be able to fight, i.e. augmented olthoi.

Just a thought.

If Wimp Lo ever sees this post, I would bet he'd be very interested!

I would like to have that hammer and see if I could get an imbue to take on it. I can think of a couple of places where the added melee d would be nice to have. Wimp Lo is an axer.

Dang - too late for me

But as I already use an AR Bludge Hammer and my Melee is base 407 I can live with the loss

I am just curious : what does Major Defender do ? Add 20% to Melee mod ? and does it stack with Defender buff ?

13m + 20(major) + 25(? Def7?) = 58% ? That would be awesome, especially on higher Melee Defense skill.
In my case that would mean an adjusted Melee Defense of 756

Where did you find/loot that hammer ?

U need to read the boards more often Treek

Major Defender (Increases a weapons Defense Skill modifier by 5%. Additional spells can be layered over this)

It was looted in a mahog chest in VoD - my first Major at all in game, after playing so much, so many sing keys used, just my kind of luck i guess

Even if Major is only 5% it sounds tempting. And if its only 5% - is there a Minor Defender and if so - what % does it have ?

I will try to get both you and Wimp online. We have to do a comparison between that hammer and my current one, already imbued/tinkered to AR 17-34 (I think to remember

)

Workmanship 10 does not sound too encouraging to try 3-4 tinkers - if the imbue succeeded anyway.

But lets see what we find out ingame.
