PRETEND
I told you I was leaving today;
That I really had to go....
I could no longer stay
And pretend!
I cried inside without you knowing;
That I was hurting too...
Outward I smiled
And pretended!
I had no choice but to let you know;
That I could not play...
Foolish games
And pretend!
I wiped away my falling tears;
That I had hidden...
Said "Good Bye"
And pretended!
That I would not miss you....
That I would no longer care....
That this was just pretend....
And I pretended!

Just felt like sharing a little piece of my soul.......and let the Bard know there's another in the house....hehehehee
