are you talking about the original mage armor quest? or the upgrade quest?

Going on orginal is fun...but..You need to find an acid drop, which takes a lot of hunting of grievers(Bane I believe?)

They added Destroyers to acid droppers this patch. Also need a 'peculiar dagger' which can only be bought from a roaming NPC (maggie's has his name) so keep an eye out for a vendor out in the middle of nowhere. I also noticed before the last patch that the vendor seemed to spawn fairly close to the humming portal... dont know if that has changed.

I am talking about the original quest not the upgrade quest.I would love to do it if someone could lead.

The acid and peculiar dagger are part of the original quest; they just added another griever this patch that drops the acid too.

The peculiar daggers are givable, I believe, so if anyone happens to find the wandering vendor, you might buy several of them if possible. To my knowledge, the acid is not givable so everyone who wants to do the quest needs to go griever hunting.

I would like to take Borg on the quest and have started hunting acid, but no luck yet.

it is 'possible' to do it as a group but it takes hours to get everyone to the same starting dungeon as the golem sends you randomly to 1 of 5 identical dungeons to specifically avoid not soloing the quest

a small group of 2 or 3 is best if you need to do it in a group

as far as kindling the armor I can lead this with no difficulty.. just let me know when we have a few people needing kindling stones and I'll take the group through

I already got the Lyceum Recall Gem

So i did the Grievver Acid/Dagger ect ect stuff already

I have a couple of gems also.. so let me know when you are going. Also, if you get several 'notes' for the golem you can keep trying until everyone is at the same drop. I have led several thru this part and it usualy only takes a few tries to get everyone in.

i would like to join you guys. just post a date. but got a question. are there 2 quest now;one for the old mage armor and the new, or do u just have to get those orbs and imbue the armor? cant seem to find it on maggies

The old quest gets you the mage armor. The new quest upgrades it.

For many, the old mage armor can be solo'd without a problem (maybe some lever pulling on Heiro Halls).

The new stuff will need a team.
