Here's the answer I got this morning and the past 2 days for a problem I am having with my applications not interfacing properly.
Me: Yeah, my (insert program name here) isn't trasnfering data to (insert of program here)
IT: Have you logged out and back into both systems
Me: Yup.
IT: Logged out and restarted the computer?
Me: Yup.
It: Hmm, well, try that again, call me back and let me know what happens.
Now, not to be mean, cuz I know that restarting etc can clear up a lot of problems, but if this has been happening for 3 days, you'd think that the conversation would take a slightly different turn.
I dunno, maybe I'm just being a stupid end user, but its getting hard to do my job when program A wont talk to program B.
Of course, thats on top of the fact that my user ID got deleted by a back up maintenance that took 4 hours to restore
But at least I could not work and had a legit excuse for it heres some other funny IT stuff:
