Sorry - I don't know IRC good enough.

Do you

- use a firewall (hardware or software) and

- have AC set to "Automatically detect port"

????

If both apply you probably have blocked port 9000 (i.e. not explicitely turned on port 9000 on the firewall).
Although AC generally uses port 9000, with the above setting it looks for a free port to use if it detects that 9000 is blocked.
But MJ only tries the port defined in MEGINJARDER.XML, which is 9000 per default (to comply to AC's preferred use of 9000).

In this case set the port to 6667 in the XML file or enable UDP 9000 on the firewall.
Uhm - thinking of it - does IRC use TCP or UDP ?

On rare occasions I had IRC connectivity problems too, but frankly I do not remember the error message.

IRC uses TCP, AC uses UDP.

This just started happening yesterday.

The web client was refused connection too.

I have problems with IRC most of the time now:

irc.sorcery.net (6667) The attempt to connect timed out

You have a "first generation" MJ config file :wink:

If port 6667 is slow to connect or even fails edit it to 9000 in the MEGINJARDER.XML file, in this line :

<channel server="irc.sorcery.net" port="9000" channel="#lastdynasty" command="i" colorcode="13" join="True"/>
