Members database cleaned

Post by Trekman » Sun Jul 20, 2003 12:18 am

When a toon using MJ uploads his data to the server, for each of his vassals and for the patron an incomplete "shell record" is created which is only completed when the respective patron/vassal uses MJ too.

Over time the database gets messy more and more.

There were several of those records with equal toon names but different toon IDs, meaning that for instance dummy vassals had been deleted and recreated later with similar names.
There were even records with the old monarch ID of Youkay.

So I decided to do a major database cleanup.

All in all I purged over 2000 useless or inconsistent records.

If you have inactive vassals (like cross-server mules for Leadership Bonus) or a chain-vassal who do not use MJ they have been purged but will automagically be recreated with your next connection to the database, including their correct monarch ID.
Normally no action is required from you. If you use MJ for XP passup calculation and your chain-vassal had been purged, the newly created vassal record has to be flagged as chain-member again. In this case please send me an MJ message.

If you experience any other problems please send me a PM. In worst case I can restore data from the backup I made before the purge.
