some IT departments do that -- there used to be a legitimate reason, but it's been so long, I can't remember.

IT people used to believe the a monster trolled the internet. But he only apperaed if you typed in .net.
So they quickly banned all the usage of .net from their companys in hops of the monster would not eat them.
It has been a while since the monster has appeared. Some believe that the monster just diappeared. Other said that an evil IT GHaru rose to the chalange and with a fling of his pocket protector, the onster was cut down.
Others say that the monster story was just a big sack of donkey poo the real reason was all a practical joke to begin with.

does this site always work you panzer? my school doesn't block .net's but it seems that i can't access this place all the time.. i'll try using that site and see if it works next time i can't get here.

I am using Wanadoo (wanadoo.fr) a large french ISP and strangely enough I get an error saying the DNS can not find lastdynasty.net.
Therefore I am not able to access lastdynasty.net.
I tried using the IP address but without result. I am forwarded to SPLEK webpage or whatever your provider is. I guess they use virtual hosts.
Of course, I checked my internet proxy and I don't have any FW rules on .net. In fact, I access other .net sites very well.
