People! PEOPLE!! You don't understand the gravity of this situation. I have to live on the other end of the phone with this man! Gads, I can't imagine what it will be like when we actually are allowed to live together and something like this happens. I'll be in fear of my mortal life, cringing that he might delete me on my computer out of rage.

Help! Help! You see the violence inherent in the system??

*hides in the corner, not daring to go IG just in case he can sense my freedom of movement*

Anyone know an attorney, who will take a class action lawsuit for emotional distress, caused by their lack of efforts to fix the game?

A little less than I a year ago I had the opportunity to speak with ken karl person to person...according to that conversation, there has only been one time that the turbine staff decided to pay back customers for their loyalty after a small period of lost time (for those of us who remember logging in to find a pack doll). As for any other downtime etc....there will be no recompense...and if you look through all of the EULA's that come with the AC and the Zone and basically any microsoft product....its our damned problem that the servers don't work so therefore weshould jsut bend over and take it like a prisoner who iis pickign up the soap....beacuse theres little to nothign anyone can do about it except stop playing the game.

The charachters stuck in game focus around one area in particular...AL...so if you don;t want to get stuck in game...don't go there...its a simple equation.

MS/Turbine still considers little gifts to calm down people after major game problems - well at least in AC2 which they want to survive a bit longer than until the release of SWG or World of Warcraft.

I wonder though if they give any **** about keeping the AC1 player base or if they suddenly will shut down the servers after they have driven away enough people for a commercial justification.

With next patch every AC2 (Two!) toon created before March will receive half of the XP needed from the start of current level to the next to compensate for ongoing connectivity issues during February.
And we will have the opportunity once per toon to return all skills and get all XP spent back at once while keeping the level - so we can create a completely different class (of the current race) without rerolling if we feel that the current class had been nerfed too much.

Those "gifts" (and the Pack Dolls back in the good old days) do not mean we could demand anything like this in either AC1 or AC2. If MS/T toss gifts around every time they screw something up we would even have more lack of available pack space  - therefore the EULA.
