I think I am going to go with a Bow character for my reroll
I decided that going Bow might be a little easier and alot more fun in the long run. I enjoyed ranged attacks.
I started with Speced Bow and Melee and am going too spec life later.
Train Item Mana C Critter.

I've got a 113% bow with Crit. Strike on it. That's supposed to be better for low level archers than AR. I was gonna auction it, but if you want it we'll work out a fair price. All my mains have been archers so far. My first was bow, current one is Xbow. I think it's just as good as bow, and cheaper to spec.

If you start as a tank archer you're going to probably regret it because...
1. if you get your magics you wont have fletch/heal
2. if youget fletch/heal you cant buff
its kind of a lose lose situation untill you hit 115 or so.. It's best to start like this
10/10/100/30/90/90
spec just bow train everything else.. you can cast 6's/7's at a low level and melee doesnt lose that much

I have been an archer since just after beta (xmas '99). I would be glad to teach you some archer tactics that will give you an advantage.
Speaking of advantages, an archer only needs one attribute to max out the primary weapon skill - coordination. This leaves full points to focus and self. Other attributes (strength, endurance and quickness) do nothing for an archer. The trick is actually using this advantage as I did. I have been casting level 7 spells for the last 75+ levels (since level 60).
I started as a brashest archer (high magic tank archer)
10/10/100/10/100/100 Spec bow/melee, Train Item, Heal
Life at 16, Mana c at 32, Creature at 65 (this is why we have buff bots), fletching 85, spec life at 125 (I trained Item tink then lockpick while I waited for 125, sold them back and got spec life).
You can start with more strength and less focus and self until you get going, but be sure to get full focus and self later.
My base attributes at 135: 170/170/273/170/260/260 250/320/400
(in the process of raising coordination to 280)
Specialized Skills: Bow - 357, Life Magic - 340, Melee Defense - 361
Trained Skills: Creature Enchantment - 300, Fletching - 308, Healing - 318, Item Enchantment - 290, Jump - 347, Loyalty - 230, Magic Defense - 245, Mana Conversion - 250, Run - 300
Its everything an archer needs.
