Official word from Microsoft about down time

Late last night, we began to experience issues with the worlds of Leafcull, Frostfell, Thistledown, and Solclaim. The issue was quickly traced to a hardware failure in the machine that supports the databases for these four worlds. We are working on repairing that hardware failure as swiftly as possible, and expect to have all four worlds available again by 1:00 pm PDT (4:00 pm EDT) today (6/23). Unfortunately, the timing of the failure interferred with the nightly backup of the databases; in order to restore the character data, we are forced to roll back to data saved on Sunday morning (6/22) at 1:30 am PDT (4:30 am EDT). We are deeply sorry for this inconvenience.

So, a 24 hour roll back.
Now that stinks. If this is correct and you've checked it online tell me... I did a good deal of trading i'll have to do again.

Let's just make sure i've got this right... yesterday i spent 2 hours getting the parts for the arcane pedastal and putting it in my house, then traded for the remaining level 7 banes I need and got to level 94, and today i'll log in and none of that will still be true. Wow. We got hosed.

That makes me very happy!
Wait, I also spent two hours getting a spring from the stupid statues in Mayoi...
That makes me very unhappy..

Well, as I stated in another post. They "rolled back" to about 2 minutes before the crash. Looks like they backed us up JUST in time.... find that interresting? Looks like they thought something might go wrong.

They always do the nightly backup at that time. It could have been a problem with the backup server itself, or with the data server during the backup, but the Solclaim data got saved (and maybe one of the other servers didn't).

UPDATE:
Our intrepid Operations team was able to successfully salvage Sunday's data from backup for Leafcull, Frostfell, and Solclaim. Those worlds, therefore, have experienced only a relatively minor rollback of character data. Thistledown, however, was not so lucky; despite our efforts, Thistledown's data is being restored from the backup made on Sunday morning (6/22) at 1 am PDT.

No Jenna, you have already been told. You will be rolled back to unbuffed status in the worst possible place in BoBo's. Just accept it =)
