A little advice plz?
Hi haven't been playing that long, since Christmas to be exact, I've worn out my hunting knowledge. I'm an 82ish 3school archer, who is bored out of her mind on tusker island, and by the diamond castle in the dires, am working on catching a fellow for vod, but any suggestion for hunting by myself for xp and/or loot? Ty for you replies in advance!

You might try hunting in Olthoi North. I think you can handle the warriors easily enough. The are much better XP than eviscerators and drop pretty good loot.

Put reedshark slashers in your sensing program and run around in the dires looking for them, they are the ultimate thing to kill for loot.

Reedshark Slashers are also found on the mainland in the northern areas...I've seen them while running in the Stonehold area.
Lets not forget those evil Reapers on AL...good loot....decent xp.
As for uber loot to keep or sell....I've never been lucky in that part of the game.....everything I find is just so-so.
Anyone believe in the WI LOOT flag cause I sure do!!!
hehehee

Spend a day or two not worrying about loot and xp and go portal hopping. You'll discover some awesome places and great new hunting spots. Doing this every once in awhile helps keep the game fresh and new.

Martinate Holding. Its where everybody lvls 50-100 used to hunt before Monkey island was discovered. Get past the monkeys in the beginning, hug the right wall to avoid traps, and go up and hunt virendi and hollows for sings.
CHA-SING!
Oh. How do you get there? ummm...
Best (boreing) route is to lifestone at danbys, and take the portal from danbys to ML. It drops you in the hills just above it. run down to the beach, then to your LEFT, ( i think its compass direction south, but not sure...)
But if your getting bored do it this way. Take the portal in redspire, thats just on the other side of the armorer, and run down to the beach and then North along the beach. That way is a longer run, but if you cant get to danbys, is the ONLY way. The bonus here is Feral carenzi colonies that have excellent loot drops (great amuli and cov armor drops as well as siks), Siraluun that drop feathers for your chicken dress and hat, and Canescent mattakurs for your canny coat!
As an archer, avoid the vapor golems and executors unless you have a mage with ya.
Hope this spices up the game for ya. I personally will be doing the same thing, just to get my stockpile of armor, sings and siks back up. The siraluun feathers are a rarity and usually fetch a nice price at the tradebots =)

First they ignore you, Then they laugh at you, Then they fight you, Then you win.
Wait... Wait... Wait... Did someone just ask for ADVICE in a forum that the Dread Lord Pee-Wee can read? Are you nutts?
Allana, I guess my question is this:
Do you want to hunt for XP, Fun, Loot, or a combination of all of them?
I hunt a spot in the N. Dires that is loaded with all different types of creatures, so it's not predictable. It's loaded with Crystal Shards, Reedshark Slashers, the newer Olthoi (can't remember the name), Diamond Lords, and... frost elementals (eww).
Anyway, it's not VoD by any streatch, but it's a good place to hunt alone or in a group.
Why is it, every time someone says "Reedshark Slasher", this monolog goes on in my head?

hehe.. for sheer interest in fun.. go jump hunting... no xp (other than what you get loseing your vitea), no loot (other than that you drop), and whats more.. no worrie.. jsut go out and do it... if that gets broeign try doign a lemming run (you and a bunch of other people jump at the same time)
I'm thinking about not thinking which when you think about it really makes the whole thing kind of thoughtless.
