The first time I did the Queen Quest, I was with Virgil Tebo, I just hit lev 80 at the time.

He said the 2 of us could do it no problem.

So never turning down a fight I thought what the hell might as well give it a shot.

We made it all the way to the end to the jump before the queens pit.

He said jump to the right and he would go left.

For a good 8 min it was solid fighting with the queens gaurds and evis and the like.

My heart was punding like crazy as I gulped down health elixers.

We finnaly cleared the spawn and began work on the queen.

Numerous times my health was at the 3% mark but got a heal in just in time.

I blasted away at the big ugly queen while Virgil cleared the respawns. I loosed shockwave after shockwave pummeling the beast. I could feel my nerves tighten as her health dropped lower and lower.

I knew she was done for.

Lucky for us the queen didnt go mobile otherwise I would be toat in a split second.

But as the time went on the spawn was growing faster than Virg could clear. I was being bombarded on all side by the bugs, with the queen spewing her acidic spit in my direction.

The whole time, my hands were shaking, until the final blow.

Then with a sigh or relief the tells came flooding in. And I became a queen slayer

Just recently actually.

In the Devastator Dungeon I caught a lag spike. When the screen unlocked, I was alone. Well not exactly alone. There were seven or eight Devastators to keep me company. I was running around trying to get directions from the fellowship as to how to get to the bottom, took a wrong turn and ended up pinned against the wall by 4 Devastators.

I fired my arrows in vain, as the giant monkeys tryed to pound me into the floor. My shots not doing enough damage to drop them, and their fists not landing enough to drop me. But alas, as my stamina faded to zero, trapped against the wall, I messaged the fellow; "My stam is going. Im about to die."

I didn't get the tusk.

A day later, in an act of revenge, I got the three finger paw after slaying Mowen the Tusker Champion.

The thrill of victory the agony of defeat. Another day in Dereth.

I do remember this one time I was fighting in the druge hideout in my noob days, those prowlers were kicking the crap outta me.

All I could think to myself was "Man if I get outta here alive or dead I am never coming back"

i have one near death and one scarey moment that will stay in my memory for a long time!!!
scarey one
was the very first time my patron, well wasnt my patron at the time, i met lucky strike at the very first clan meeting i went to maybe the very first day i joined the clan, he told me he would take me on some quest, well he did that alright, he took me on three towers quest. what you say no big deal? well at the time i was a level 20something gimp sword. hehe
he buffs me up and off we go, well being new to the game and clan i didnt know what to expect, my hands were shaking and heart pumping all the time as we ran thru the quest as i was trying to stay alive and trying to kill the creatures we incountered.
but we at last succeeded in our quest and i was smiling from ear to ear.
thx lucky for the times you helped me out even before you were my patron
near death exp
that would have to be my last bobo quest attempt, lol there was only about 30 or so peeps doing it and my poor puter was laggin big time. well we get too the first big room with assailers, devastaters and whatever else was in there and i go to attack a dev,, well guess what my puter froze and i get booted, nothing like portaling back into a room full of assailers devastaters and the likes all beating on you from every angle and finding the whole fellow is nowhere around.
i,m just glad i had a portal gem handy!! made it out with 20 health. :D

My most recent scary near death was a few weeks ago on the Bobo quest with Panzer, Phade and others.

We made it to the hut on the beach to get tagged for the quest. There were some lag deaths but finally everyone got there. Time to run for the waterfalls. Well the coords were given and off we go. I decided to follow Panzer, I mean he's the monarch and he's high level :) right? Well he must have been reading a different map that day because he ran the WRONG way and then DIED .

Well everyone else had gone the right way. Now I'm all alone. Anyone that knows me know I HATE running at Tusker Hell AND I'm map challenged. I was running as fast as my little legs could go, heart racing and palms sweating the entire way. Health got pretty low a couple of time but I made it!!!!

I actually lived thru the entire quest and I was the lowest level there. Hey!!! I should have gotten a medal or something

My scariest:

Still a wee babe/n00b....I was still quite attached to my blademaster template so had no idea I was not uber...lmao....her name is Tanzanite....she went along on the Bard Fletching tool/Obsidian dagger quest.....failed to make the acid pit jump....landed in the acid....was very very new with my portal spells....didn't have a clue what to do and wanted out of the acid before I died...so I did portal recall....DOH!!....should have done lifestone recall but.........dOH!...I said I was a total n00b....hehehehe...so I end up back inside the dungeon surrounded by this undead stuff beating the crap out of me....I ran in circles looking for a safe place to hide or a portal... or anything....I died in a crumpled little heap in a corner...no one came to help...had no way to get my bod....my fellowship mates all went on ahead without me and never offered to help afterwards so I had unrecoverable bod too on top of the fact this was the scariest place and death I'd ever experienced. Lost my treasured Hauberk...my melee defense was almost high enough to activate the spells that would have made me a goddess....lol

All hear... the tale of the death(s) of KyleBaby.

One misty morning in Dereth, in the days when Qualbar was still the marketplace of choice, and elementals ruled the land, KyleBaby went for a stroll.

KyleBaby, or as I like to call him "Sir Gimpsalot", was portal stormed right into a wonderful group of lightning elementals and died immediatly. This angered KyleBaby, so KyleBaby called out to the God +Admin, "Why have you done this? Please, Portal Storm people to a safe distant land, not into instant death".... Alas, the cry of KyleBaby went unheard.

Well, KyleBaby, being angered at the God +Admin, decided that life was therefore meaningless. Upon entering Qualbar again, KyleBaby gave up the ghost and died of his own hand, over and over and over again, dooming himself to eternal death and 40% vitae.

But... now we come to the scarriest death of KyleBaby.

Upon suicide #30 or so, having left corpses across Qualbar, a cry rang out, so horrible, so frightening, it screamed in the head of KyleBaby and drained every bit of blood from him, turning him white as a ghost... the cry?

+Admin tells you, "Pick up your corpses, NOW".

That, my friends, was my scarriest death.

It is hard to say what my scariest event was....there were sooooo many, but this one is at the very least one of the funniest. Back in the days when i was a noob in Holtburg....I used to use the house by the river to attract drudges and banderlings so I could kill them. They were too stupid to climb on top of the house and that made killing them easier. Now at times they got me before I managed to get on top of the house, so I would shoot the cows in that pen to reduce my vitae. There must have been one Great Cow Warrior in that pen one day, because as I was blasting his fellow cows the Great Cow Warrior climbed on top of the house and gored the Great Sorcerer to death......imagine my surprise

Hmmm....

I think the scarriest death moment for me was just yesterday when I attacked that cow in the center of Rithwic....you know the one I'm talking about? Man, I was sent to the lifestone so fast I was playing AC Beta ...

Anyway, as I was going to recover my corpse I thought I should try to work off some of my vitae, so I attacked one of those brown rabbits hanging around Rithwic....you know the ones I'm talking about? Can you say, "Hello Mr.Lifestone! Miss me?"

I was going to try to enlist the help of the Rescue Team, but then I realized I was the only person on at the time who was on the Rescue Team. And, I thought people would probably laugh at me.

I decided to stick around the lifestone to see if I could get buffs from someone. I was so nervous and so bored I started drumming my fingers on the keyboard....ever do that? I accidently typed '@die' and I died again. Now, I was up to 15% vitae and buck naked at the lifestone.

I'm sure this has happened to many of you, and you can just imagine how terrible of an ordeal this all was for me. Luckily, everything in fine now, but the memories are still so vivid it seems like it happened yesterday. Oh, wait, it was yesterday.

I think I stopped beign scared of vitea or death around corpse number 176 on Bardolan.. I was level 21 and I decided that today was going to be my first run into the direlands without help...

I took the southern landbridge and lifestoned at the archmage witht he portal next to him...unfortuneatley that was to be my worst mistake ever.

upon reachign the actuall end of the road.. I promptley died

upon reachign the halfway point to recover my body.. I died

upon reachign the second body..I died

At this point I found only one member or my small allegiance to be online....my level 63 monarch who was "uber"

15 mins later I had back my coveted al 155 armor...

I was left standing at my lifestone...contemplateign what I shoudl do now that I no longer had vitea....lo and behold there was a plateau portal there...so I decided it sounded interesting

I looked aroudn the village for a bit and then decided that it really wasnt impressive.. so I shoudl return and resume huntign around qual

I did not have item magic and th nearest portal was a 20 k run away...so I ran

I died

I recovered that corpse and kept running....I died

I died again

I died lookign for the secodn corpse

I died lookign for the first corpse

I died lookign for the third corpse

I found the second corpse and died

I found the first corpse and died next to it

I died

I died again

I died yet one more time

I foudn my first corpse and the one next to it.. looted and kept running..givign up on all the unrecovered bodies...

I died

At this poitn I gave up and realized..I can get over anythign in thsi game as long as I dotn worry abotu whatever happens...two hours later my vitea was gone...Bardolan officially retierd at level 52 with 706 deaths...of wich about 90 corpses were never found...
