Lucky Strike
Hey Lucky, I always hate seeing people griping on the boards, but I just had to post this. There was a post made by Jena, titled "Anyone looking to buy a cottage" where she was trying to raise money for a charity by selling her cottage, and you undercut her attempt by posting a reply about all the cottages you've seen available and how anyone could get one for free.
Pretty dang rude in my opinion.

From the way you describe what she was doing "Jena's attempt to make people pay for what is available for free."
it sure seems like that was exactly your intention. She wasn't trying to "make" anyone do anything.
Maybe you've just never seen a charity sale, where stuff is "sold" to raise money for a cause.
The stuff is never "worth" the price in economic terms, because the point is to raise money for charity, not to do business.

Jothany,
I believe what he is trying to say is...
For those who don't wish to pay (weather charity or not), there are other options out there for a cottage.
Charity is a good thing, but, not a requirement, no matter how good the cause.
Letting others (noobs) know that there are other routes to getting a cottage than to feel they have to support a cause monitarily, is in no way "undercutting". To undercut, you would have to be trying to cheat that charity... which, if you think about it, is impossible... it's a charity.
I don't mean that to sound harsh, but it is the truth. I'm not saying that the cause wasn't a good one, but, just as I don't feel obligated to send $0.85 cents a month to a child in the Dominican Republic, neither should I feel obligated to support this (which I do) just to get a cottage.
I think he's just letting those (noobs) who might feel that this would be their only chance at getting a cottage, know that there are other ways, in case they don't want to support this.
No harm intended.
