Where I come from, we call that bait.

You'd be surprised that an awful lot of the sushi is cooked. The only thing raw is the fish. I'm pretty sure that everything else is cooked. The fish used in sushi are always (supposed to be) the highest quality and the VERY fresh. Fish should not smell fishy -- that's called decomp.

My wife used to say the same thing -- BAIT, but then she tried a California roll.

Got any vegetarian sushi there? I don't eat fish. Except tuna from a can. . .but I don't think it counts as fish.

They actually do have cucmber rolls and avacado rolls, maybe a few more. Some places make up some freaky stuff. I swear I ate something with a feather and a tusk in Ybor City.
