Winter blues, Seasonal Affective Disorder? Maybe everybody needs to get out and get their daily amount of sunshine! I've always thought that cats have the right idea: there's nothing better than finding a patch of sun to sleep in.

When it cares to show itself again, I'd be happy to.
Unfortunately, four cats and one window makes for a bit of a scrap trying to find space to lay down, seeing as the ingrates monopolize that ray for their own sinister purposes and give me "cattitude" if I even think so much as to squeeze-in edgewise.

I think it's the post-Christmas blues. I know it's rampant at work and would explain why I locked myself in a closet at work on Friday, phoned my husband up at home and sobbed at him for about 15 minutes. I got dinner out of it though and am feeling better

I was mad at my staff and I've since had a little "chat" with them. . .with no yelling on my part

I've never yelled at them but on Friday I would gone ballistic on them if I hadn't locked myself in the closet.
As far as kitties and sunbeams. . .that's a hot issue among my kitties. When Miss Muffet was alive, her and Licorice would wage psychological warfare on each other for the sunbeam. . .it was so funny to watch Licorice sneaking up on Muffy basking in the sunbeam and scaring the bejeebers out of her so Licorice could steal the spot. . .or Muffy growling at Licorice and making her move (Muffy hated Licorice though Licorice loved Muffy right to the end. . .even if Muffy was miserable). Now the new kitten Ginger just watches Licorice basking in the sunbeam wondering what all the fuss is about. Licorice LOVES being sprawled out in it then having me rub up and down her belly and back. . .she makes the funniest purr-meows and stretches out as much as she can. You can tell it's heaven for her. I loves my kitties.
