Staying Alive or IED follies

Post by Nash the slash » Mon Aug 22, 2005 3:45 pm

I recently tried my luck in the Insatiable Eater dungeon only to find I cant stay alive....

I am missing something? im a war mage lvl 139 with melee def of 368 buffed, my min armor is legging/shoes al 500....

but if i get 2 or more of those nasty beasties chewing me i disappear before i can kill enough of them...

I found if there is someone else there to tank for me i survive better however most tend to wander off then end up doing bod recovery for me....any sugestions?
happy trails all

A couple of quick possible suggestions come to mind, without knowing all of your stats.

1) Try hunting with a buddy as a team, and kick his/her butt if he/she wanders off. :P

2) Health, health, health. Those critters can chew you up pretty quickly and you can drop 100 health in about a heartbeat, seems like. Not knowing your base health, one suggestion might be to max your health as much as possible. Grab an Elysa's Favor and/or one of those gems from Callous Heart, or that helmet that adds to your life, and of course the ToD gem that gives that extra base health.

3) If you can cast drains on the Insatiables, try casting Drain Healths on them (I'm not sure if they are impossible to Life cast on or not, I never try). If they are drainable, that might be the best solution. You'd have a nearly unending supply of health, plus you'd hurt them in the process.

Of course, hunting with a buddy is the easiest if it's available. Someone to help recoverable corpses, plus someone to chat with if you want.

Have you tried hunting in the Ravenous dungeon. I think I like that one better than the Insatiable dungeon anyway, if I remember right. The critters are a little easier, and there are about 90 trillion of them in there to kill.
